Yeah! I thought that too, very flat. He's actually only made of 4 pieces on the sprue: head, front, back, and power fist, just like the old days ;)

I think the game is great fun! Definitely worth getting for the miniatures alone, but the game is a good laugh with friends :)

Nice looking paint job, but some of your highlights seem like they might be a bit harsh... Washing them back down, or applying them a bit more thinned out, would go a very long way in the service of your color transitions. Excellent work, otherwise.

Oh, they are harsh! Haha. For me, these miniatures will be pieces for the boardgame, and kids will probably be playing with them in the future. If you want to spend a bit more time making transitions more subtle, you definitely could ;)
