As a kid i ran from a small town indiana cop on my atv, wound up getting away but the cop showed up at my house hours later. Long story short he wrote me two town ordinance violations for "riding on the road" and that a long talk about not doing it again. They had multiple agencies looking for me and even passed me on the road after i got away. The cop said he had an absolute blast chasting me, we went into fields and down old railroad tracks. Still amazed i got away

I recall an extremely unnerving but funny incident on a road trip coming back from IA to AZ, was on US 400 in western KS in my Dodge Challenger R/T 6 speed manual hemi car and got a strong hit on my radar detector up ahead. Speed limit was marked at 65 mph so set my cruise right on the speed limit and about a mile later saw a county mountie just finishing up writing someone a ticket going the other way. This guy jumps in his car, flips a U turn on the highway and followed me for the next 12 miles about a car and 1/2 off my rear bumper at 65 mph which was where my cruise control was set. We approached the city limits of a small town(Pierceville, KS, I think), and I dropped my speed accordingly with the cruise control to 45, 35, then 25 mph into town. The cop was so pissed that he turned left onto the main street in town with tires squealing and on the gas, and I proceeded on my merry way laughing my ass off the rest of the way into CO!

My dad told me a story of how back in 1982 as a 19 y/o he was heading to the work Christmas Party, already late he's doing about 90 in a 55 in his 1970 Mach 1 Mustang with a transplanted 428 cobra jet engine, down a local highway through town that is 2 lanes in either direction separated by a 15 foot wide grass median and he sees a county cop in the median about 1/2 mile before his exit. He decides not to gun it and instead pulls over and actually backs up to the cops Ford LTD and waited even though the cop never turned the lights on. Cop walks up and asks if there's something wrong to which my dad replied "I knew you had me dead to rights for speed and I wasn't about to run". Cop tells him he was actually filling out paperwork from a previous stop and didn't know anything happened until he looked up and saw my dad backing up. Turned out the cop wasn't much older than my dad and liked the car so he ended up only getting a written warning for not wearing his glasses while driving.

I used to routinely speed on 40 and 70 going last Brazil, you have to know where they sit on 70 and have to know the back roads if you want to run from them on 40. I never got a speeding ticket and still speed every time I drive.

My dad was telling me a story of how back in the 70s he was driving his Black Corvette (the only one in town) back from washing it and his way of drying it was speed, and he was telling me just as he had created a hill about to shift into 4th gear, he passed an Alabama State Trooper and if I remember right he was doing about 130, well he just pulls on over cause he knows what’s about to happen. Well the officer after about 3 minutes catches up to my dad and gets to the window and first thing he says was “Glad you pulled over David cause I was just gonna follow you back to your house and deal with you there”

I was the passenger in a car back in the early 80s, we were in my friends, mom‘s 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass, a V6 car, not fast by any means. It was a 55 zone then, just like the entire nation, and my friend was doing, I believe almost 80. So, the Pennsylvania state trooper comes up beside us with his trooper hat way towards the front with the chin strap on looking like a drill sergeant from the Marine Corps, and talks very loudly and sternly with the normal license, registration insurance, and says “I don’t think I need to tell you why I pulled you over”. Nervously, I reach in the glove box and get registration and insurance in hand it to him, he goes back and sits in his car for about one minute, he gets back out without his hat. He’s walking very loosely, not uptight like the first time, we put the window down, and he has the registration and insurance back to my friend and says… What the F**k is an 1979 TeeNee!!?? I had mistakenly given him the registration to the boat trailer, and he found the name TeeNee so funny he laughed and said have a nice day.

Ok I got a little story. I’m 27 rn. A few years ago I purchased a 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL. This was my first time owning a classic performance car. 227hp 287lb of torque. Not very powerful in today’s terms but respectable numbers. The day I picked it up I took it on the freeway, mashed that accelerator and proceeded to hear that massive V8 roar followed by the front end raising up. Scared the shit out of me. A week later I was traveling down the fort bend toll road , if your from Houston, you know where this is going. I felt that itch to go faster. I didn’t even realize the state trooper hiding behind the bushes. Blast past him at 90mph. Ofc he tried pulling me over but I stopped on the toll road still, by the time we came to a stop, he turned his lights off and went around and drove away assuming he had another call to go😂

I was on the way to Vegas traffic had been bad and the road opened up entered the corner at 140and was accelerating thru it about 9 miles from the Nevada border I thought about running then remembered CHP had a station right before the state line I pulled over right in front of the officer had everything on the dash by the time he got there. Only time I ran and got away I was in a 96 pontiac ws6 TA. The small town I grew up in only had 2 officers on duty after 8pm I came out of a fast right hand corner that opened up into a 5 mile straight I was doing 130ish when I saw the 2 San Diego County sheriff states on the side of the road in their broncos that maxed out at 80 mph they hit their lights and say in the road for a minute before backing right back where they were parked. The best officers are in Montana though got pulled over on I90 in a 1981 VW Scirocco gutted race car motor swap etc. See the officer sitting in the middle lights etc he comes up to the car and goes how fast we're you going. I told him not sure can you tell me the speedometer ended about 4 miles ago even it hit 80mph and I was still accelerating he told me he got me at 123mph while I was on the brakes hard and have me a warning said he wanted to make sure I was speeding safely. Same car got pulled over for 85 in a 25 misjudged where the limit changed from 25 to 55 officer gave me a daytime ticket for $35 at 9pm versus a nighttime ticket would have been $250 and 3 points. Last ticket was 5 years ago learned you drive nice cars and are respectful to officers you can get away with a ton

I got a Buick Century rental to drive from 29 Palms CA to Corpus Christi Texas in 1985.It was Early Am an I Have not seen another car in 15 minutes. I Pushed the pedal down. I was doing 115 for about 10 minutes. I let off the gas and came over a small hill. Sitting in the medium was a Texas Trooper with his lights on. I Just pulled over. He was a friendly officer and wrote me up for 75 in a 55! When I got back to Base i sent a cashier's check for $75. Funny thing Was i received a letter in the mail stating I sent the receipt part! I resent the check. Second time i went to Texas in 2001 i got a Ticket for 72 in a 60. $284 !!!!

I live in a somewhat rural area. I ordered, without thinking to much, this new '18 Mustang GT, Spoiler on the back, PPL-1, Lightning Blue had the windows professionally tinted and installed a 2-1/2" " X " - Pipe. Just a nice looking hot rod and nothing special like a Lambo. I knew I was fucked within a few weeks of being it home because I was constantly followed by City cops, The Hwy. 5.0's and The County cops. I got 2 tickets for doing over 120 mph. and it looked like my street was on the police parade route as they drove past my house looking at it to remember it's location. I quickly found out that this was the ONLY ONE like it, and still is, for MILES around here so they know EXACTLY where to find me! No more fun here... Damn it!! I learned my lesson though. I was going to surprise them with my next hot rod by blending in with the junk Camaros around here. I was going to aquire a beat to hell Geo Metro and stuff it with a monstrous 454 on 12" rims, however the gas prices screwed me on that idea. So, I figured a nice, beat to hell, Ford Festiva with a 427 DOC Cammer in it on 13" rims would really fool'em !.... LOL!

2018 Elantra GT sport, the turbo hatch thing. I was a bit of a bad person when I was 19-23. I sold drugs, die drugs, drove drug dealers to sales, a lot of stupid shit. I remember running in the Elantra down a side by side trail covered in a foot or two of snow. 140kmh driving like it was a wrc. got away on that one I was street racing doing a 40 roll with a turbo k swapped civic, as soon as we hit our rolling anti lag cop lights right behind us, I just let off my anti lag button and flooring it slamming gears, the civic was pulled over. When takeovers were starting up during Covid, I did figure 8s in my B9 A4 around a cop car until he turned the lights off. Didn’t get away with that one, later than night around 1 pm the helicopter got me. Spotlight and a bunch of cop cars rushing me. Turned off the car, threw the keys out the window hands up and out of the window. Got away with a warning because they couldn’t prove I was the driver.

Ive ran a few times.......We have HUGE STREET RACES here just outside of Seattle that have been going on since the 60s with my grandpa was a kid I started in the early 2000s over 500 to 1,000 cars every single weekend..... What time in my 95 Civic coupe boat motor built trans suspension I was on my way to a buddies house and was doing about 1:20 when I blew past the cop that was completely dark out on this back road I knew the area very well soon as I seen him flipped the lights on and started to pull out I was already about a quarter mile down the road and I just put my foot back to the floor drop the gear until I could take the next turn and zigzagged all through this back roads until I can get through to a road that would bring me back to my house and just hauled ass back there I can hear sirens flying back and forth by the time I pulled my car into the driveway successfully got a way that time and one other time...... Another time I blew past cop and I knew I was caught red-handed just said f*** it pulled over immediately and because I did it was actually pretty cool about it and told me he used to have the same car years ago then he was like I get it I know you're having fun but slow it down man.... I could be right new for modified exhaust among many other tickets but I will let you go and have a good night it was 4th of July

Best times is when you are a kid trying to fake out the police saying it wasn't me officer. You got the wrong car. They passed me up a minute ago ! Now here I'm driving a blue car, grey door, white front end , parts from other vehicles piece together. It wasn't me officer!

l got clocked at 155 in my 69 AMX 390v8 on Tx backroads (183) and the cop from Luling Tx was an AMC fan and was more impressed with the car than he was interested in writing me up. True story.

I outran a cop in my 77 tornado. I was passing a line of cars going at least 80 in a 55. One of the cars at the front of the line was a cop. I stomped on the gas and hauled ass. The first chance I got I turned off of that road and continued to haul ass. I had shut my lights off at some point (instinct I guess). So I'm guessing the cop didn't see me turn off the main road. I slowed down and cautiously made my way home. For about a week after that cops in that town would follow me for several blocks. lol

I remember I had a friend with a Supra he had just bought. NA 1jz but had been modded with with a big turbo so it had the 5 speed. I had a base Cobalt. Manuel but it weighed nothing. I made the F&F joke because there were railroad tracks exactly a mile down the road. The light turned green and we were on it. He missed 2nd and stopped. I kept going. Dog the Cobalt if you want but it's almost Honda quality for banging through gears. At around 80 in a 45 I see a cop coming the other direction. I hit the brakes and so does he. So I decided to go back into 3rd gear and told my friend to buckle up. Just as I shift into 4rth I pass another cop sitting in a parking lot at about 100. Ok, I'm f*kd if I don't end this quick. I had BF Goodrich GT1's at 225/40/18r at the time so my tires were pretty descent. No ABS. I saw my first right turn which luckily included a place to hide right around a slight bend in the road. According to my friend I braked hard and slid into the right turn. I knew I was on the limit of the tires so it doesn't surprise me. I drove the car hard to see the limits a lot lol. I killed the lights and rolled into a car wash bay in the back. Sure enough 2 cop cars passed by flying just before the railroad tracks. I cut off my amber fog lights and went the opposite direction after about 10 minutes with my friend in the Supra on the phone and we ended up going to his girlfriend's house for a couple of hours before I drove home. It was dumb but I'll never take that experience back. I often wonder what it looked like to the cops to see something fly by at 100 mph and then seem to disappear in thin air. This was back in 06. The car already had a weird legend around it. Yes, I heard the legends myself and through my brother's highschool. Stuff that wasn't even TRUE but the times matched. Like red on black Cobalt that roams the streets at night looking for races. I was just coming home from work and hitting up fast food places for food before I got home but I'd race if I thought I could beat you lol. I guess what really started the rumor was when I ran an Audi S4 with a bad tune and I walked him past 80. That was my brother's friend but I never met the guy but guess who told me about the race lol. I did my bro it was probably me but apparently the rumor was already out. This was a different time. A time i miss when you didn't need 1,000 hp. I took on 200 hp cars and knew I had a chance. Today, I drive a slightly modded 90 Miata and challenge you in the corner. Light to light just doesn't do it for me. I respect the game but now just meet me in the corner. I had a guy in a truck try to follow me once and he almost wrecked lol. I've even had cops try to follow me but they just give a thumbs up after I realized a cop tried to follow me through a corner. It's nice

My brother is a cop in my hometown. My brother told me a story where he chased a street racer and busted them. It turns out the racer was really skilled at driving and respected the lives of other people around him. My brother met up with the racer when the racer was released from jail. The racer is a nice guy. He respects the lives of other people around him. He just likes driving fast. The racer had a job at a grocery store. My brother and the racer are still friends to this day. The racer owns a highly modified Nissan 350z

I recently got a 100 mph ticket for passing an undercover police officer. He was impeding traffic in a 60 mph zone while going 50. He saw me coming. Two other cars were tailgating him and I decided to make the pass. The car directly behind the now knowing policeman also made a pass in front of me, and I had to brake to slow down. I then sped back up to pass the other car. By this time I had an oncoming car about 500 feet down the road. I gunned it for safety! 2005 SL500. A minute later I saw the blue lights in the cop car grill. I have managed to delay the case for 3 months. Hired a Lawyer. The mistake the cop made on my ticket, he said I tried to pass him while another vehicle was already passing, but I was the one to initiate the pass before the other car. Either way it’s not looking great for me lol. Court coming up in 1 week!

I lost count after 30 tickets. I probably got 35 or so. It’s been fifteen or so years though lol. Been suspended 3 times too. Not proud of it at all but I got some notches under my belt. I have a valid license and a new truck, I’m a good boy these days. From 2016 to 2021, I had a 2014 mustang, blacked out. It had reds and blues, had fun messing with people here and there. Never got out and tried to be a cop though lol….. I just liked making people’s assholes tighten up on the road when they mess with me. Oh the good old days 😂
