My parents are also very strict and my dad is verbally abusive and i grew up thinking all parents were as mean as mine. Sometimes it hurts my heart to see girls like me who don't have that same relationship with their mother. Even if you're super close with your mother, but just don't want to ask questions like this, just remember that it's ok! One day, I will ask my mother these things and I won't be afraid. Because she was once my age too, and wondering about all this stuff! Stuff maybe she wanted to ask my grandma, but was too afraid. I know people are probably going to read this, and not like what I'm saying because I know that not everyone can have intimate convos like this with your parents. Everyone has thought about losing their virginity, or sneaking out, nudes, hickeys, etc. And don't worry, you're not alone. Especially because I know other girls my age, and a lot of us just hit puberty, and now are getting hormones, and menstrual cycles. So, some of us begin to think about these topics more and more as we get older, and start to learn more about adulthood. Please, don't be afraid to bring up these topics with your mother, or a sister, or an aunt, whatever! Because they have been there, and they can totally relate at some point! I know it's a little bit up-forward, and might seem weird, and awkward. But its not! Its completely normal because even though it might be awkward to talk to your own mom about SEX, you do realize that that 99.9% of adults have had sex in their lives? That's a lot, so it shouldn't be weird to talk about it because it's actually a completely normal thing. If I ask my mom about these things in the future, Ill just be honest with her and get it over with. The more awkward you make it, the more awkward it's going to get! Keep that in mind, sisters.
