That could be th case but upon a second viewing i think that it might also be that she is not an actual close friend of them. We feel bad for her because we see things from her point of view but do we know if these are people she is actually close with? Not everyone who goes out for drinks are people who are close and would feel comfortable having a serious discussion about finances and as an American who is amazed at how much money people make from teaching others basic financial literacy, i would not be surprised if they didn't feel it was their place to stop her spending or cared that she would spend that way.

Getting the voice of a negative and narcissistic parent out of your head as an adult is very hard, but it can be done. I'm in my sixties and I cracked it - and and banished the toxic effects it brings to your daily life. It's like flexing a muscle, you wouldn't allow anyone to speak to you like that as an adult, so why let those thoughts reverberate around your head? Bless this lady, she's gorgeous inside and out.

How do I get rid of that voice? No matter what I do in my live, that voice in my head (my mother) always comments on it, how lazy I am, how there is nothing to be proud of my achievements, even stupid little things like when I don't do my dishes right after cooking and would rather sit down with a cuppa for a few minutes gets me a snarky remark.

It's interesting how many of the people on this show buy all the drinks. It seems like many of them aren't real friends, they're just out for what they can get, then berate the person for the spending habits they're contributing to. I wonder if this adds to the insecurity many of these people feel, real friends would suggest doing it in rounds or foot the bill occasionally (at least.)

She is very sweet and so motivated to change. She just needed a bit of 'parental ' guidance. So many younger people lack this often because their parents lacked it. It's time for everyone internationally to move from their ' teens ' into adulthood.

She is so sweet and genuine. I think her sister is just a very serious person who has seen her "say" she would change in the past but she didn't really so she's skeptical. That's what happens when you continue to make promises and don't keep them people stop believing in you. I'm sure they both love each other but have different ways of showing love as well there is learned dysfunctional love from their mother. Nonetheless, she seems to have all the skills, energy, and talent to move forward and become a happier and mentally healthier version of herself.

Watching this makes me realise how grateful I should be because I do not need luxury items and I've paid off my credit card debt before Christmas last year. I may not have much, but at least I'm not drowning in debt. This is an eye opener.

Oh my goodness, I love Rudo!! Open, honest, sweet, smart, talented, takes 100% responsibility for her behaviour. I think she really benefitted from having some actual support for once in her life (as opposed to her friends and sister who are cold and disbelieving of her efforts).

I think by the end she realized how much she spent to how she finds ways to skip spending what she really not need now. they showed all the polish she had and never used realy, all bottles she had and never used any. all the bags she had but never used and just stored away lol. then show she got used to tap water, and sold bags she not want or need any. made her own drinks, and shopped for food to make her own meals.

I've been here where people resent you for trying to do right by yourself. As a divorced single mother when I tell friends I can't go out to dinner or clubbing and get attitude for it, it's horrible. They are welcome to come to my home, but I guess that's not as fun or convenient.

I don’t know why the psychologist gets so much hate in each episode. I think he’s actually really helpful but some people just refuses to open up. I would consider seeing a financial psychologist. It’s easy to tell people to just stop spending or stop eating junk or just stop drinking but with every addiction, there are often underlying issues.
