One change to note: We have discovered two other older railcars that still exist that are of all-steel design, however, the "Cuyamaca" may still be the oldest aerodynamic vehicle in the World.

Have you contacted the V&T Railroad they should be able to help you restore your Mckeen they have already restored a Mckeen back to all orginal an they should be able to help you!!!!

I have seen some pictures of some Mckeen cars With matching baggage cars have you looked into trying to find one because if you did your's would be the only surviving example to have one which would make yours all the more rare!!!!!

Any access to original engineering drawings for this model, which appears identical to Virginia & Truckee #M-22, currently at the Nevada State RxR Museum? Copies of the drawings will be needed to fabricate new metal to replace the missing parts of the bodywork.

As cool a concept as this vehicle was, one must wonder what the heck you plan to do with it if you do get it restored. According to Wikipedia; it can't climb hills and you have to stop and reconfigure the drive train to get it to go in reverse.

Been to website and nothing has happened on the site since 2017.... Google maps of the location of the museum shows no place to store a railcar. Hope that the 16 now around 21 year old has not prioriticed girl and road cars and the rail car still exists

I have a GF Yes, and since November I have been working to save a McKeen Trailer car that will be scrapped if I don't save it. I am also active with the local Chamber of Commerce, and I have a full time job. The railcar is at my house but I am working to move it out back of 947 Main Street here in Ramona.

@@MadisonKirkman Have you been in contact with the people who restored an operate the restored McKeen Motor car at the Nevada State Railroad Museum because they would be the people that would be able to help you out in your goal to restoring your McKeen Motor car
