This was the 2nd single from the Spice Girls. This different totally from Wannabe because; 1. All five Spice Girls' vocal were featured in this song, but leaving Melanie C sang the high adlibs through the end. But ironically, it was Melanie C's voice too that opens the introduction of the song. 2. It was this song that earned the Spice Girls their individual nick names; Sporty, Baby, Scary, Posh & Ginger. 3. The Spice Boy, who happened to be director of the music video once said that it was based on a femme fatale movies Faster Pussycat, kill! Kill! and Pulp Fiction. The Spice Girls were featured as heros from female ninja, gun expert, tribal warrior, Kung Fu master & assassin. It was as though they were the characters from some video games. 4. This song was an experimental mix of pop & R&B with a touch of Folk/Country music. It was considered as underground, instead of mainstream music back then. 5. Although people (back then) & the new generations seems to have no clue of the concept of the music video, Spice Girls won the best music video for this song in Brit Awards in 1997. 6. It was this song that the people in showbiz started to take them seriously as a music group, since Wannabe was a bit of a joke for them. 7. It was the second Spice Girls that went to number 1 in UK & globally. Finally it went to #1 in Billboard charts in the US & the rest was phenomenal success within 2 years before Geri Halliwell's departure from the group.

The Spice Girls nicknames were actually devised by Top Of The Pops magazine's Peter Loraine when he met them, and not as a result of the SYBT video. 👍🏻

@@theboyjames3065 exactly, Top Of The Pop gave Spices Girls their individual nicknames after this video was released. The girls haven't had their nick names yet after Wannabe was released.

@@crazyspice3951 It was around the time of Wannabe's release that they got their nicknames in TOTP magazine. I remember they did a photoshoot in July 1996 and I'm sure the article was in at that time. SYBT wasn't released until October '96 👍🏻

This is one of my most attracted song, i used to enjoy it in F. Remember this clip!!! One day when Hollywood decides to make a Biopic about the Spice Girls, make sure the movie end iwith this type of video, or Viva Forever.. this is a masterpiece.
