"Spice of Life" (Short Film, 2018)

4 жыл бұрынA recluse invites an unknown-and hungry-visitor into his home, only to encounter a clash of tastes.
I worked on Spice of Life as a very small-scale university project in Autumn 2017, and I took it as an opportunity to tell a story without the use of dialogue . . . so props to my actors for helping achieve that! I was also challenged with passing off a typical academic hallway as a cabin in the woods. (And a bowl of water as soup . . . again, props to my actors!)
I hope you find this little project charming. I'll have more original stuff to share in the future. :)

Beautiful, excellent work. I appreciated the music, what little there was, more than I usually have tended to, as I usually pay attention to the dialogue in your films, but I found it quite nice.

This was very interesting. I enjoyed that the meaning was somewhat ambiguous, and if I had to guess what this meant, I would guess... This was an allegory for communication and social interaction with those around being the true spice of life, and our differences are what make us human and thus unite us. An inspired idea to keep this free of dialogue as well. Well done.
