@@tyronleung5276 1610 Peter came back, (Which was a stupid decision I still don't like) fought Green Goblin with Miles, saw that he (Miles) can fill in for him as Spider-Man till he finds out why he was brought back and then dipped with MJ to discover the truth together. Miles stayed as Spider-Man once more, but this time with his universe's Spider-Man's blessing. Then Ultimate Peter died in Secret Wars, I know that at the end of Spider-Men II both he and the entire Ultimate Universe were alive and well. But he hasn't appeared at all since then (so he doesn't count) and I'm not counting 6160 Peter Parker from Ultimate Invasion, since The Maker prevented him from becoming Spider-Man. Miles is *not* a Red Robin type of character in 616. Because he was never a side kick to begin with, he was someone trying to fill the shoes of a legacy, that touched so many people, that a hero left behind. Even with him being in 616, he's still treated as a fully capable hero and as his own Spider-Man. I fully believe that if 1610 Peter survived and Miles still got bitten, we would've gotten a Spider-Men situation like in the Insomniac universe and the main marvel universe. But both are closer in age than the main universe. He wouldn't have been a sidekick, he'd still be his own Spider-Man but his predecessor would've been alive.

because Bailey was introduced to us as a sidekick not as if he was a replacement, if Bendis had done the same when he created Miles maybe for the death of Ultimate Peter nobody would have been pissed, because there would have been time to slowly accept Miles instead he just replaced him, of course bailey replaces Peter is obviously impossible but if they make him grow fast enough and manage him well... maybe he'll play even with Miles one day (after all no one ever said that as a successor Peter should only have one)

not everyone, I personally lived well even without Miles (a character for which they are recycling every idea already used for Peter I honestly don't care, especially given the fact that ever since Bendis created him he tried several times to pass him off as better of the original and as far as I'm concerned the decays are never superior or better than the original at most they can be interesting but superior or better no)

No there 1% of the population is red head now how many of those are actors and how many if those are men or young this is Huw you should look at it there very view red heads in the world

@David_Apollonius My point is, that is the sort of detail that literally no one has cared about with regards to any other character. Compared to the fact that, in the days of smartphones and the internet, a secret identity is still POSSIBLE, it's a non-issue. Look, I'm not saying that I think this character is a brilliant move or anything. But I feel like there's enough potential to give it a chance. With tweaks, of course--I'm hardly alone in thinking the costume needs work, among other things, like what makes Bailey different personality-wise than Peter and Miles--but in the end this is one of those moves that could go either way. Big, sudden WTF changes like this historically have a 50-50 chance to be either really crap or shockingly good. Sometimes, one can even become the other, such as when a shitty plot/character is picked up by a writer who knows how to make it work. TL;DR, there are bigger issues than nitpicks like the one you mentioned, but IMHO it's still too early to call whether this character will go anywhere interesting or not. I'd go into detail on how I think this concept could be done right, but I suppose I'd be straining your patience and my autism-hampered attention span if I went on much longer XD
