I think Oscar Isaac does a pretty good Miguel from the little we heard of him in Spider-Verse.

I remember enjoying listening to Peter and Miguel through the game, but finding the combat very tedious. I would try to run past the enemies as much as I possibly could. At some point I swore I heard one of the robot's say something like "we appear to be boring the target". Which was so hilariously self aware, it became the one moment I remember most about this game.

Yup, Sloan is a original character, still surprised that he's voiced by freakin' Val Kilmer. Also, this is basically a sequel to Shattered Dimensions, but maybe more like a spin-off with the amount of content in it. Anti-Venom was born from remaining remnants of symbiote in Eddie's body while he had cancer, with the help from Mr. Negative. Later, the it bonded with Flash Thompson to become Agent Anti-Venom. How many times has Venom been controlled by someone or tricked? At least 10 times since the mid 80s I think. And I haven't gone through it in awhile, but after Anti-Venom Octopus, you face Black Cat in her sexiest, barley there costume, voiced by Katee Sackhoff, the big name casting was quite strange.

I sincerely do hope you do continue playing this game. I think you're actually, from what I remember, you're halfway through the game anyway. And the story, before Spider-Man PS4 came out, was one of the best ones out of all the Spider-Man games since it was just so plain fun and stupid.

This game actually got me emotional when I first played it and I liked it, and it's got my two childhood Spiders, spectacular and FOX kids. Just like Friend or Foe, thanks for giving it some attention and love man💜

Honestly, I like this game. And if you do pick again, just know that it does get better. Plus there a twist later on that I quite enjoyed. I won't spoil it though.

anti venom is Eddie Brock, pretty much Eddie got Cancer sold off Venom and then mr negative used his powers to heal Eddie and the left over Venom attached to his white blood cells making him anti venom And then Mac Gargon was Venom for a bit edit: Also 2099 not being able to take away 2099's powers doesn't make sense Anti Venom can cure genetic imperfections not just radiation

Fun fact: In the comics, the real Alchemax ended up being founded by Liz Allen, Peter's high school crush (and Harry Osborn's ex-wife at the time) during Dan Slott's run.

Yup, that's definitely Peter David's Spidey 2099: Snarky and cynical, yet a good guy at heart. The more campy version from Shattered Dimensions never sounded right to me. Also, David wrote both the very first Spidey 2099 run from the 90es as well as the newer ones.

Matt needs to look at the 3DS version of this game. It's straight up the console version in every aspect. It just makes the sections with the dual camera appear on both screens. It's one of the most impressive handheld ports I've seen.

Just want to point out here that at 6:50 when Miguel is crawling through the vents and having his little exposition monolog, the added echo for that particular scene implies that he's speaking out loud, while he's trying to be super snekky, because there was no echo on internal dialog prior.

Edge of Time's okay. It's got some cool stuff and I forgot how much I enjoyed the banter between Peter and Miguel but it's definitely a massive step down from Shattered Dimensions. There are three other villains in the game - Atrocity (which is that Anti-Venom/Sloane/Octavius fusion), Black Cat 2099 and the final boss which is a massive spoiler so I won't share it just in case. Also, the version of Miguel in Shattered Dimensions didn't match his character at all but I loved him anyway.

Tbh this game has the best story when it comes to Spider-Man games of this era. And it was the one that got me into Spider-Man 2099 in the first place.

From what I remember Mac Gargan was Venom for a while (like around the Marvel Civil War time) and Eddie was dying from cancer till he was cured by Mister Negative at a F.E.A.S.T. shelter. At some point Gargan runs into Eddie and the symbiote tries to ditch him for Eddie. But Mister Negative's energy mixed with some left over bits of the symbiote still in Eddie's body gives him the Anit-Venom suit, which turns out to be caustic to symbiotes.

Edge of time I loved. The twist at the end was sweet

Despite its very clear flaws, Edge of Time is still my third favorite Spidey game, with second being Web of Shadows and first being Shattered Dimensions.

The game is pretty underwhelming, but for some reason I loved it. Getting the platinum trophy was surprisingly entertaining for me. If it weren't for the bland level designs and boring enemies, it would've been a pretty fun game

Edge of Time had a surprisingly 1:1 3ds port. Same with TASM(with only the open world cut and changed to just the levels one after the other) Beenox did good work.

Don’t usually say this on videos but, a full play through of this is something I’d watch all the way through.

The only thing I remember from this game was the refference to the PS1 Spider Man when Doc Ock gets the Anti Venom and you're like "oh is just like Carnage Ock"

This is and most likely will be the only time they got 2099 suit right, it was never blue it was actually black.

i played shattered dimensions before this but this game was basically my “true” and “best” introduction to Spidey 2099. The personality, the voice actor, the writing for his character it was all Miguel for me and this is obviously biased but i personally think this is the best version of him i also liked how he and Peter would interact throughout the game, they definitely developed from time partners to basically best friends, too bad the gameplay is so tedious and repetitive

Not sure if its been answered but Anti Venom came about as Mr Negative cured Eddie Broc's Cancer. then the Venom Symbiote tried to leave Mac and Redondo with Eddie. but hevwas now caustic to the symbiote. The white color of Anti Venom came from Eddie's white Blood Cells. that was the 616 original appearance anyway.

I agree I like Spider-Man 2099 and noir's suit from shattered dimensions. They're done really really well. I like how they slimmed down noir out of the trenchcoat and how 2099 suit looked really futuristic specially with the pulse thing running across his suit.

Ngl the suit looks dope though. I like the way the black webbing on the suit looks more like a spiderweb thrown over the sui, it's more irregular. I'm sure that's how they said they designed the suit for the tasm film and I think that's a good description of how it should be. He's not a textiles student so it's a bit strange that he makes all these insanely well made suits so more irregularities in the patterns like that look cool.

Yeyeyeye! Always love seeing a Spider-Matt pop up! Edit: Just wait, the twist at the end of the true bad guy is super dumb. The story is Not Great, but the interactions are worth it. I hope you do continue with it. It wasn't a perfect game, but in a time with X-Men Destiny and the MCU tie-in games, it was the best Single Player Marvel game around. The Bloody Palace-equivalent is also a good time. Yeah, you read that right.
