What _dazzles_ me most is: Why add the Spider-Man motive? This seems to be a cool robot figure on its own, if they threw out the mask and invested the 5 cents they saved on that into better working joints, put the lights into the figure and add a spring mechanism for the launcher, and this would be really awesome. And it's not like they _paid_ for the licence anyways...

Honestly, this was a pretty cute toy idea, if only in concept. If this company hadn't tried to cut every corner they could, they could have really had something.

So both laungers look like bootleg bionicle parts. In those cases the disk launcher needs to have both of the holders pulled together which launches it. The ball launcher needs the rod extending from the ball pushed into the ball, but that may not be possible depending on how its made.

This bootleg kinda reminds me of when "Mega Blocks" did a line of "Marvel" heroes in the style of Lego's "Bionicle" figures, and one of them was of course "Spider-Man". I think I had the whole set. If this "Spider-Bot" bootleg was trying to emulate that formula by having the figure prebuilt, then a missive epic fail here.

The disc launcher seems like the type where you press in on the sides and the pressure shoots the disc out instead of having a mechanism. However, it doesn't look like it has much flexibility or room to actually move so I doubt it works very well anyways. Wait a minute... without the mask on, the peg-hole makes him look like... could it be...? THE FUCT OF PEPSIMAN!

The launchers are both pressure-based, not mechanism-based. The disk launcher works by squeezing the sides behind the disk, and the "propeller" of the "ball dropper" is actually the *back,* and is a plunger you press in to shoot the ball out of the front of the little chamber: hold it with your thumb in the depression on the back, and your index and ring fingers on either side of the chamber, and push. At least, I ASSUME that's how they work, since they're very clearly ripped off from the launchers from Bionicle's 2004 and 2006 sets. 0:56 Try me famous homemade chowder! It be made with rum! Aaarrrrrrrrr! ...That was bad. Sorry.

I've recently fallen in love with the stupidity/silliness inherent to the Marvel Mech Strike series and it's tie in materials and I always liked seeing those toys with a Spider Man mask inside as a kid even if I never got them or the web shooter toys, so this review in particular was pretty up my alleyway Yeah... this bootleg looks like they "borrowed" from various other molds and uh, clearly replicated with significantly cheaper materials I would imagine so.... Still, I"m kinda impressed that there actually was *something* to the mask itself, I was half expecting them to have the spots in the plastic mold to place the electronics and for there to actively be no electronic components, so there's something I guess..... yay minimal effort!
