Spiderman No Way Home absolutely blew me out of the water, I'm putting it up there with one of the best films I've ever seen, especially in how the writers used the characters to perfectly fit what their fanbase wanted to see. This film absolutely puts everything Disney has tried to do with Star Wars to shame, go see it in theaters! And stay away from spoilers, you'll enjoy it way more :)
Oh, and The Witcher is out, make sure to check out the music parody I did!

Just saw the movie myself, and man do I mean it when I say, it was damn amazing. So much good compressed into a fast paced, well constructed and nostalgic film. Easily in the top five greatest marvel films.

I haven't seen any other Spiderman movie (Except for the Sam Raimi Trilogy, I've watched them a long time ago but forgot most of it), and have only seen Iron Man 1, 2, 3 and Avengers 1, Age of Ultron, Infinity War and Endgame of all the Marvel movies that came out. And honestly, I find them all very average. Eccept for Infinity War. That one was above avarage. Knowing this, should I still go watch the new Spidernan?

You'd still probably qualify it as very good, but a ton of what made it so good is all the references to the other Spiderman films. Those references were done in such a beautiful way and were easily the most memorable part for me. You don't really need to know as much about other Marvel films to understand it all, mostly just the Spiderman films that started Toby and Andrew.

I concur and said much the same. In fact, here, I'll just copy-paste my review of it: Okay, let's do this. Spider-Man: No Way Home So, it's no secret that the MCU has degraded massively in quality, and the longer Disney has been involved, the worse it's gotten. The cracks were showing pre-Infinity War with movies like Thor Ragnarok and Captain Marvel, and of course Endgame was a big step down in quality from Infinity War, but after that Spider-Man: Far From Home, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, The Eternals...nothing good, to say the least. The Disney+ shows, meanwhile, generally started okay and then rapidly plummeted in quality as they went through their episodes, universally failing to stick the landing. This is before you bring up them making shows solely to push political propaganda, with no concern whatsoever for the show itself. To top it off you have Spider-Man: Homecoming, which was widely panned for Spider-Boy being at best a side character in his own movie and one that is difficult to take seriously at that, who earns nothing and is handed everything despite doing nothing of note. Then you have Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was widely panned for Spider-Boy being at best a side character in his own movie and one that is difficult to take seriously at that, who earns nothing and is handed everything despite doing nothing of note. Between this and Star Wars Disney has broadly shown that they are unable or unwilling to listen to criticism, to learn their lessons, or to improve anything. On top of all of this you have Disney's open contempt for anything popular or beloved. One need look no further than The Last Jedi to see what I'm talking about, which holds nothing but open hatred for Star Wars, and the state of Hollywood in general, which gleefully seeks beloved property after beloved property to brutally murder and then parade around wearing their skin while mocking and insulting those horrified by this behavior. So...then we get to the nostalgia-based Spider-Man: No Way Home. Guys. GUYS. Guys Spider-Man: No Way Home is SOOOOOOOOOO good. I am not even joking right now. I'm not going to spoil anything but it is emphatically clear that they heard every word of that criticism and went out of their way to try and correct it. I don't even know where to start. With such a nothing character as Tom Holland's Spider-Boy, it'd be very easy to expect a movie pulling in other characters like we've seen from the trailers and posters to shove him aside, but it doesn't. It doesn't do anything of the sort. It manages to strike an incredibly elegant balance between all of the old characters and the new, and at the same time is completely content to allow the old characters to simply *BE*, to exult in what they were and what they are, and does nothing whatsoever to attempt to deconstruct or subvert them. At the same time it doesn't degrade into fanboy worship either. The balance is truly impressive. At the same time the movie makes a very real effort to try and actually make Tom Holland a credible Spider-Man, and I have to say, I definitely noticed and deeply appreciated it. There's a scene near the middle of the movie, I'm not going to spoil it but if you've watched it you'll know which one I'm talking about, which actually actively annoyed me when it happened. In a way it reminded me of that scene from the new Star Trek movies where they swapped Kirk and Spock around, with Khan? You know the one? In a way it reminded me of that, because I remember thinking at the time, "No, you haven't earned this. You don't deserve this." I glared at the movie like the parasite it was clearly trying to be, siphoning glory it hadn't earned just like so many movies before it. To my shock, the movie turned back to me and said, "Yes, I know I haven't earned this. Please, let me spend the rest of this movie doing my square level best to try and to be worthy of the legacy I bear." I gave my popcorn back to the homeless man I had bought it from, but I was truly shocked that the movie not only actually TRIED, but moreover, I think actually succeeded. Seriously, I walked away from this movie DELIGHTED, which is an incredibly novel concept with Hollywood in general and Disney in particular these days. It kind of felt like...you know the early MCU movies? Where they cracked a few jokes here and there, but also knew when to shut their yaps and appreciate the gravitas of the situation, to actually honor their characters by taking their struggles seriously instead of just winking at the audience the whole time that what you're watching is stupid? Yeah, this movie REALLY felt like that. An early MCU film, and I absolutely mean that as a deep and sincere compliment. The movie isn't flawless. Budget-saving attempts were definitely noticeable, such as the fact that nearly every single fight scene is fairly zoomed out and they ALL happen in extreme darkness, for example, but I don't think they detracted from the movie too much. Seriously, go watch this. Go watch this right now. If you hold any love for Spider-Man at all, go watch this. You won't regret it. At the end of the day I'd say the movie is a solid 8/10.
