I think it’s a metaphor for drugs being imported to “developed countries” from “under developed” countries. People in “first world” countries think they need drugs to be happy, so they participate in a criminal industry that does immense harm to the communities within the countries the drugs are imported from. Also there’s that random stoner cloud character - I think the moral of Trolls is “don’t do coke. Smoke weed instead”

No no it’s the other way around. The Bergens are Americans and the trolls represent South American countries. The movie is a metaphor for western demand for cocaine (which they believe they need to be happy) doing harm to the countries they get that cocaine from.
