The fact that they cast Amy Schumer as a mediocre hack who literally steals talent (and unlike everyone else in the cast, she doesn't even do her own singing) is genuinely one of the most layered and clever jokes an animated movie has ever done.

First two movies: Poppy is the mc and also directly responsible for endangering all of her kingdom. Third movie: Branch is the mc, the villains are unrelated and theres literally only ONE guy in danger Conclusion: Poppy is the Troll Antichrist and brings doom to all she encounters/ rules over
