Jared Drake Bell supposedly has a history of problematic relations with young girls. Most of which were not discussed in the recent docuseries "Quiet on Set" which focused on Drake's story as a victim. But is that all Drake is? A victim? Or is he also perpetuating the cycle of abuse? Join us as we separate rumors from facts and investigate what Drake Bell has done.

I think if you go on to hurt someone else after already going through it, it completely voids all empathy for you regarding what you went through. I’ve always hated the notion that people who SA were SAed when they were younger and that’s why they do it now and that maybe true for children who don’t understand what’s happening to them so they SA other children then never do that stuff again but I don’t accept that for adults especially when you’ve been out in the world enough and obviously know it’s wrong. It’s about power and ego at the end of the day and no matter why they think they did what they did, they should be in the ground just like the others. It’s been proven time and time again that predators can’t be changed or rehabilitated especially after they get that first “rush” and yet we still let them off easy like they won’t offend again

Most of us would never do that but people will say it's the cycle of abuse and most of us turn out this way but it's not true. With all the Drake stuff and how it’s played out even now, it kinda makes me wonder if that’s why Leo DiCaprio is incapable of having long term relationships with mature women. Brian Peck was obsessed with being overly touchy and weird with him too and we really don’t know the details of how much deeper their relationship went behind the scenes so it could be he’s emotionally stunted from trauma and can’t be vulnerable so he ends up a serial dater. Strange either way to date women that young when he’s in his 40s but makes me wonder
@fancydeer

you know, remembering that Leo DiCaprio is a survivor of CSA could explain why he doesn't date women older than like 27. He might have a subconscious mistrust of older adults. People can be both a statistic of receiving and a statistic of doing. The hardest part is finding ways to heal from the trauma, while being able to realize your actions and behaviors may very well be what was being done to you. The moment you can gain that self awareness, you have a choice to make. Actively continuing those cycles, or make a damn good effort at BREAKING them. And even when one chooses to break them, it doesn't mean it's all going to happen right away. These things take time and healing is also a huge part of being able to break such cycles. At this point, everyone needs to be held accountable, but even more so, they NEED to take ownership of THEIR PIECE of the pie and nothing more than what they've done. It shouldn't boil down to sides and defending/accusing either person. It's time to take a step back and encourage healing without playing into who hurt who more gets more sympathy.

While watching the show I wondered how they were going to tackle his predator history as well but it never happened. I wonder if they wanted to talk about and he refused or, if they just soley wanted to focus on the childhood experiences. A part of me thinks the former and that he wanted to not focus on his crimes so he can make a comeback as if people will forget what he's done because of his own abuse. He's just perpetuating the cycle. This whole situation is just wild af 31:49 boom! Glasskloset nailed it

My children watched Nickelodeon for years and a few movies that Amanda B was in. She grew on me when I watched with my kiddos. Idk what it was exactly but I always got a weird feeling in my stomach seeing her on Nickelodeon but not so much her movies. Then many years went by and I was watching TV one day and there she was in court and then I done some research and I know now why my stomach hurt back then I felt like it was a sign to help her. Idk what i could have done for her but I always wonder now if I felt her pain bc I went through SA in my teens too. Idk but it sure did make me wonder and now all of this information about Drake Bell and Nickelodeon has came out makes it surreal. But the lady named Melissa and the others should be investigated as well. My heart breaks for all the victims involved I hope they can find comfort and peace through these hard times.

When adults are attending a party for adults they expect everyone there to be adults, a party is for down time, not being hyper vigilant about the age of everybody there. And a lot of the girls dated guys 18 and up (not me, I was - and still am- a horse girl and a bit nerdy 😅). The age for a drivers license is 18 here. Noone thought anything of it, it was just normal. just because someone is in contact with a serial killer, and hundreds of thousands of people wrote to, and received letters and gifts from Gacy (and every other high and medium media-profile killer), it does not automatically mean that all the people in contact with Gacy or any other prisoner of that ilk are child abusers. Nor does it mean that contacting the likes of Gacy makes you suspect in any way. If that was the case then I would be suspect due to my job involving speaking to people like him (I am a Forensic and Criminal Psychologist and my job includes talking to people like Gacy). That means that the ever cops, prison staff, probation, lawyers, friends, neighbours, family, public transport (staff and other travelers, car park staff and users, other shoppers, and so on - anyone who communicated with the sk. Yes the latter get somewhat tenuous but they are still part of the sk bubble. The fact is that ordinary people write to prisoners - many are ust curious, some think they have a connection (not true), some do it for a giggle and others ... well it is part of the job. I really wish people would not make these sweeping statements and innuendos - "the cycle of abuse" a fallacy that was disprovved decades ago, those who have contact with criminals must be bad themselves. Sorry to vent but this repeated and disproved BS really gets my goat.

Ummm, an 18 year old dating a 14 year old is a 4 year age gap, and *VERY predatory.* A 34 year old dating a 30 year old is a 4 year gap that is *NOT* predatory. Don’t confuse the two. One is normal, one is not. The difference in age matters more the younger you are due to the mental age gap being much bigger. I would not put a 16 year old and a 20 year old on the same level. One is a child, one is an adult, and the adult is going to have way more sway over the child than vice versa. Romanticizing the grooming of a child is not cool.
