I did it with the hair dryer. It works!!! What a feeling! I thought, I am too stupid to learn spinning. But now it works and I am incredible happy! Thank you very-very much!!!! ❤️

Thanks for the info! Tip for sanding, if you sand in a figure 8 shape it'll do a better job of sanding evenly than going back and forth in a straight line.

Sanding down the ends of the bobbins did the trick for me. It spins beautifully now. It didn't uptake first no matter what I did. I'm glad I found your video!

I’d be happy to send you my nano back if you want one that won't take up. I've yet to be able to spin on it. And seeing yet another round of things I'm supposed to try, to get my nano to work, is even more discouraging. I'm not a plastic repair person. I give up. Janet Hince

I see it more as bonding with my wheel😂 and it was not hard to do with the hairdryer

I bought mine from The Threshing Barn in England and when I contacted them (before I saw this video) they asked me to send it back and they would test one and send me that. A simple solution taken by a brilliant company.

Thank you very much! I had these problems and used the hair dryer method. I had to bend mine outward just a tiny bit and now it is spinning so well. Very happy!!!👍🏻👍🏻

Oh, I was wondering if it was normal that my bobbins had so much friction on them... I'll have to look into this.

Thank you!! This is the issue I had with my Nano when I got it last month. I was able to sand down my bobbins by about one thread length and it spins beautifully now.

You can add salt to the water to raise the boiling point, although it will take quite a bit if you want to increase it more than a degree or two. The update is appreciated!

thank you! I was wondering why my bobbin wasn't taking up, will try the hairdryer hack tomorrow, when i gently press the maidens out a little, it spins so much better, so expecting it to work :)

Do you think that heat in the shipping containers may have affected the maidens

No. It was a cool time of year and even during hot months it wouldn't get nearly hot enough. It was a small number affected by this and I'm confident in future batches it can be addressed with an additional test.
