Follow Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, She opens a hotel in hopes that patients will be "checking out" into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the "Radio Demon" reaches out to Charlie to assist in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.
Be warned, this project is aimed at older audiences. Badwords and Innuendo galore!!

Eh it shows how amateur the original writing was. Jokes weren't smooth, lines were choppy, but it was a mere KZfaq video at the time. Thus it gets the pass.

1000% agree I also really prefer the voice actors from the pilot especially for Alistor. It’s still a great show and I remember watching the pilot when it aired and knew for certain it would get picked up...I wonder why the change tho imo it’s like they toned down the dark side/tones that made it stand out and instantly popular and to make up for it they made it even More hyper sexual than it already was, which is fine but it takes place in Hell with a cast of demons...it HAS to be dark.

It's crazy how influential this project became during the years we were waiting for the series. This inspired so many amazing Indie pilots soley on KZfaq that indie animation is what anyone's buzzing about nowadays. It's like the "hip, new thing" everyone's excited to see and hear about when a new project emerges. When that happens, new viewers come rushing in, most of them long-time Vivziepop fans!

I loved the pilot, but after rewatching it, it bothers me that in Alastor’s song he slaps Vaggie’s bottom and he just gets away with it. That was sexual harassment and people are willing to forget that but hate on Angel.

Yeah, I like that Hazbin Hotel has character traits tied to which period the demon lived in on Earth. Alastor with the old timey seixsm. The reporter lady being like "I don't touch the gays". I mean they're very clearly horrible people, but they're also horrible people influenced by the time/place they lived in. It's clearly well written and a lot of thought was put into the characters. There's less demons in Helluva boss so maybe that's why it didn't come up so much there.
