Coming back to Helluva Boss after Hazbin Hotel is a MUST, there are so many details that I missed at first but I get now. And oh God, now realizing that Blitzø is seeing himself chained by Stolas as if he had sold his soul to him is just such a fantastic detail just I can't overlook. I can't even put into words how this episode carries so many feelings and shows us the dynamics between characters

Can we talk about Moxxie getting unleashed here? For all of Blitz giving him shit about being bad at his job he knew without a doubt in that moment Mox had it under control. Their combat together was symbiotic and required absolute trust. That dance of death was beautiful. Punctuated by the mutual nods of respect at the end. Nothing more needed to be said. That said more to one another than they ever could have with words and it was such a fleeting moment you could almost miss it.

One little detail I like about the Hellaverse is that humans know so little about demons outside of their own myths that everyone, from Martha in episode 1 to the DHORKS, think that Satan even knows these imps exist, let alone that they specifically work for him.

How you can tell Stolas was genuinely worried: He didn't censor himself when he swore. Usually he bleeps himself, but he didn't bother to do that when he asked Blitz, "How the fuck did you get caught by humans?"

This episode is one of my favourite ones, because the hallucinations of blitz is so interesting, and here's what noticed. 1. Verosika, Fizz and Striker's voices are blitz's voice except stolas and moxxie 2. Blitz's hallucination is more of a rough old cartoon style representing his feelings inside as for moxxie, his hallucinations are more of an opera which represents his music taste and so on. 3. The scene where he is climbing towards Stolas and being chained is blitz's feelings of Stolas using him, and also blitz using Stolas to forget things (imo) 4. Around the ending Verosika, Fizz and Striker forming together to become golden leaves and covering/sticking to blitz and his mouth represents that they are like his past mistakes and regrets, and they're keeping blitz from opening up and confronting others And the stuff Stolas, Moxxie and Verosika, Striker are saying exactly what blitz is doing. What I like: considering that the hallucinations allowed real thoughts and emotions to come out, it turns out that Moxxie and Blitz equally allegorically perceive the sign on Blitz’s forehead (as a broken heart). It follows that Moxxie sees more than we can think (and the association with the Phantom of the Opera is clearly not only due to Blitz's burn scars, but also due to Blitz's desperate need to be accepted by someone, despite his character and antics)? 🤔

I absolutely love the action sequence in this episode! Millie is a total beast with that Battleax. Best episode of season 1.

One of my favorite things about this episode (and others, but it’s more notable here because of the high quantity of humans) is the little noises the imps make while fighting. The little chitters and growls. They sound like possums while they move. It’s integrated so organically. Such a neat detail.

Best episode of this show so far. From the dialogue to the animation style to the mix of 'haha', 'aww', and 'Whoo!', it's a real masterpiece that'll leave ya on the edge of your seat. There's also some of the best Blitz lines, too. *"Now who wants some quality time with daddy?"*

I love how despite Millie's protests, Loona still closes the portal immediately when Blitz tells her to. I especially love the fact how she caught on to him being dead serious so quickly.
