What if the capsule is injured? No one would know that since you can’t see it on imaging and even the best in the world (I have gone everywhere) can tell me. Symptoms are horrific. Are there any exercises for self mobilization or to strengthen around c0-1?

Sorry to know that nothing has helped you. Our recommendation is to seek for a certified orthopedic manual therapist (physical therapist), hopefully IAOM-US trained, that can help you with a clinical examination/diagnosis and offer you a personalized treatment. How can we help you with this?

Does the technique, you've demonstrating, works bilateral or unilateral?
@IAOMUSVIDEO
@IAOMUSVIDEO 6 жыл бұрын
The technique can be done for each side. The technique demonstrated on the video is for the posterior capsule of right C0-1. If one wants to mobilize C0-1 on the left side the technique should be repeated on the left side with the therapist standing on the right side of the patient.

@@IAOMUSVIDEO bc of the rotation component I assume there is a bigger impact on one side.. in the video you're standing on the left side of the patient, 'grabbing' her head with your left and ventral hand, it would seem more appropriate to bring in rotation left (towards you), and therefore gapping posterior right in my opinion, seems more logic. @Kollitsch, for bilateral you just need to go to flexion (towards posterior) while fixing the atlas (C1), no rotation needed.

Does this helps unlock the C1?.

It helps to first assess the perceived mobility and then creates a momentum for better specific arthrokinematic motion of that segment.

Physical therapy and Chiropractic disciplines are based on different philosophies. Please explain your question to give you a better answer. Get more information about the PT scope of practice in Manual Therapy at the IFOMPT website.

PTs were doing manipulations and mobilizations long before chiropractic existed.

For the ignorant: First Chiropractic adjustment took place in 1895. Chiropractic adjustment is a specific movement of any osseuse structure of the body beyond the allowed ROM(rang of motion) in order to remove MISALIGNMENT (chiro.specific osseous orientation)…read more to be informed… Physical Therapy dysarthria been introduced in 1916…and became officially introduced after the 2nd WW!! Read to learn!!!😊

And your question is...? Would you explain the comment in relation to the technique being shown? How can we help you to become a better clinician? (are you a clinician?) thanks!!

Thank you Sir, I am NOT criticizing your technical skills. If you are doing MOBILIZATION…you are practicing Chiropractic without a license. But, you are not blamed for your “actions” is the Chiropractic professional leadership to be blamed. Thank you.
