I love that you said " you are not broken" YES! You are just experiencing life in your own beautiful, soulful way. May whatever comes your way helps you grow more. It certainly is a wonderful realisation when you say " I am normal". ❤

It's so true and so important what you state in this video. I'd like to show this message to everyone who is beginning with mediation and engaging in a spiritual path. Because so many of those who do are actually (highly) traumatized people, who wish to solve their suffering on their own, by sitting still and transcending their pain. WHICH WILL NOT WORK. It's useless, and in this regard I love the comparison you gave with the trained athletes with great bodies, and the trained Zen teachers and their great minds. Only few of us will ever be able to get there where they are. Is this a bleak message? No it is not, it's just a red pill you can swallow. And then there's the real world, with great opportunities ahead of you, to engage with your trauma. There's a path for every single one of us, and it will be different for each of us. However it will always have to engage the body in some form, because the trauma is stored in there, not so much in the (speaking) mind.

I agree. However some of the teachers you named do talk a lot about the emotion body, specifically Angelo that you named first. The message that I got from that content wasn't at all "you need no self and then all will be fixed" no, more so that realization is a way of dissolving some of the layers of identity that keep the emotion from coming up in the first place and then allow much more direct work with it.
@SamRoff
@SamRoff 4 ай бұрын
I also got that message from them. Especially Angelo. I’ve followed them all for years and have found their pointers to sometimes be frustrating, pointers to awareness or non dual, when the primary magnet of attention is in the body with significant energetic dysregulation. Fair comment though because he frequently says people wake up in all different ways. And those pointers have still been transformative and helpful in so many ways. Apparently that was my expression in this video though lol

@@SamRoff Oh yeah I didn't note every word you said I just felt into the energy of it and my comment came out there. I'm sorry if I twisted that up a bit. That might very well be your way but some people, also speaking of myself really need to break that spell of mind identification first. When I heard that there is a way to get to the root of that it was obvious thats where I needed to go. Nowadays looking back I can tell you that I was so up in my head all the time that I didn't even know what I was feeling, I would maybe talk about emotion back then but I had no idea what I was refering to when I said that and what I was feeling myself. Now emotion is much more on the surface and it feels unavoidable do work with it. Doing shadow work, doing somatic practices but also practical means like taking walks in nature and the like. If you wanna read some more here is a passage of Carl Jung, someone that to me appears very steeped in both emotion work and disintegrative work: Believe me: It is no teaching and no instruction that I give you. On what basis should I presume to teach you? I give you news of the way of this man, but not of your own way. My path is not your path therefore I can not teach you. The way is within us, but not in Gods, nor in teachings, nor in laws. Within us is the way, the truth, and the life. Woe betide those who live by way of examples! Life is not with them. If you live according to an example, you thus live the life of that example, but who should live your own life if not yourself? So live yourselves. The signposts have fallen, unblazed trails lie before us. Do not be greedy to gobble up the fruits of foreign fields. Do you not know that you yourselves are the fertile acre which bears everything that avails you? Yet who today knows this? Who knows the way to the eternally fruitful climes ofthe soul? You seek the way through mere appearances, you study books and give ear to all kinds of opinion. What good is all that? There is only one way and that is your way. You seek the path? I warn you away from my own. It can also be the wrong way for you. May each go his own way.

@@chinchilla_462 Love it! So true. Something my facilitator pointed out too. Angelos path, adyashantis path is not YOUR path. Really resonates. I think different people just resonate at certain ‘frequencies’. If they resonate with this content, it’l light a fire under their ass. So important to trust through own deepest instincts as a filter for everything. Owning ones journey and path while remaining open to feedback from the outside world

I think it depends on the realisation. A realisation which is not embodied will ignore trauma. But a full kundalini awakening will not leave any traces in its full expression. It will go through the entire body and release all the conditioning including all traumas until you are shameless and some would say fearless too. But this requires getting into the body and into the chakras, not transcending it. The chakras are effectively a memory bank for traumas and teachers will say this extends to even the core core core traumas surrounding birth and death

I would like to share some parts of my being and life here with you, please have compassion and understanding for me, I cant handle any criticism and negativity anymore: Ive been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and thats like complex ptsd. I have extremly intense feelings, rage, fear, sadness. And I cant stop thinking, and I have such negative thoughts. Ive been through a lot of trauma and I think I wouldve killed myself if I wouldnt have find out about my true nature. Thankfully sometimes I feel the happiness and peace of my being, but my body, nervous system and psyche are still very traumatized. Dissociating, overeating, overthinking, paranoid thoughts. Its so much. Ive found out about somatic experiencing and I think this helps but even with that, I try to force myself to do those exercises on a daily basis but I cant. Im just laying in bed all day long, my whole body hurts, headaches everyday, no friends or partner. All alone. I want to heal immediately but it takes time and I need to be compassionate, gentle and patient with myself. But Im always thinking in "I should" and "I have to". Shame and perfectionism are so deeply rooted in my being. Please dont shame me, im not exaggerating, yes I need love but this really is my experience but Im also aware that Im holding on to it.

You are speaking directly to this old man. I have had spiritual experiences that opened me to deeper life. Yet the victim self, sabotaging self deeply seeking mother’s love that I am never able or good enough to receive. I’m 74 and went to jail at 72 for assault during a massage in part by getting too amped at the end of a retreat. I turned myself in and took responsibility so the punishment was four months but the damage is the rest of my life. Suicide ideation yes almost every day were it not for my cats and dog…

I appreciate what you have to say, in response to your list of guru's, I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water, working one-on-one in person with the right person(s) is key, PTSD people are often far out of their bodies and it takes a highly skilled person pulling them in slowly and this is the first key - clearing the energetic debris and ancestral investigation is key - and each person is unique, i'm saying its a multi-dimensional approach but with the right person to untangle the traumas from the true self - it can be done, though not 100% because memory will still store what happened, but enough to have a closer to neutral knee jerk reaction on triggers. I've worked with a woman for five plus years and she is claiming her life back after 40 years of isolation and misery. I can only imagine the challenge of someone thinking they can heal over night or over a video or meditation technique.. The most difficult part of the healing is "can you hold it long enough to transition into the new way" or will you come undone trying to grasp for the ghost of the very thing you just severed because you've had that thing longer that's overpowered you? This is often the place where setbacks occur. Peace all around.

In her defense I don't think she's stuck in any self limitation belief any more than @i_seebreadpeople. She's merely stating that, for her, Jesus is a stronger way of sorting through these emotions than feeling like shes doing it alone.

The beauty of a spiritual guide like Jesus, I think, is how one who believes in him can do away with the astounding amount of entropy surrounding the multitude of somatic practices and can distill all of it down into a simple concept of just having "faith." Having faith/hope in ones self and the universe can open doors somatically that one can hardly anticipate. And frankly I agree that it is the strongest form of power.

@@SamRoffI’ve never heard of this…how could a spiritual awakening “cause” one to be possessed?
@SamRoff
@SamRoff 4 ай бұрын
@@richNfit4life It's just a way of conceptualizing energies that can arise after a shift in identity in my eyes. As thought is no longer primary in experience, and consciousness comes forth, it seems to have an effect of surfacing deeply repressed energies like rage, sadness ect... some people might call this possession of entities, some might call it demonic possession... I like to conceive of it as the inner child finally having the doors open. Old energies can be reintegrated that were pushed aside. Lovingly.
