@@nherrer98 It really wouldn't. Kevin is dangerous, even he knows that, Barry does too, the others like Orwell and Jade are oblivious to Patricia, Hedwig, and Dennis and The Beast. If Kevin dies, it'll be doing the character EXTREME justice, as that's what he wants. He knows he can't even control his own body or mind anymore, so to spare everyone else, he wants Casey to blow his head off without second thought. Kevin cannot live for this to be successful. Otherwise people will want this to become a damn franchise and ruin everything special about it.

Barry is too. First thing he did when he took over briefly was trying to make sure Casey was ok. Had he held on long enough he'd tell her how to stop the Horde. Then there's Orwell. He's a motor mouth but you can tell he doesn't want Casey to think less of the Group compared to the Horde. I honestly really wished the movie had explored this side of Kevin more. By letting his true personality come through it immensely humanizes him and makes him someone who is put down by others, not someone who is himself a bad person. Ron Villanova exactly. In any great kidnapping Thriller there is always three types. The one who seems dangerous at first but is really a softie on the inside, the seemingly nice but kind of dumb and easy to manipulate but still dangerous one and finally the calm cool collected one who is the most deadly of them all. Split is great because it makes all three of those archetypes exist in one body

Dennis likes to watch underage girls dance naked, even though he knows it's wrong. He's a bad guy. Doing something when you know it's wrong isn't better than not knowing it's wrong. It's worse. It means he had a choice and he CHOSE to be a bad person.

@@LordofFullmetal Well it would most likely mean him going to a strip club, unless his ocd stopped him. It's shown that he kidnapped them for the first time by the way he acts during it and how it goes on further. It doesnt make him bad up to a point when he came through with the kidnapping to feed the Beast. However Fletcher said that beliefs of the beast were both his and Patricias but it is possible patricia introduced him to it first.

I cry along with Casey as she cries when Hedwig appears. You could tell that personality within Kevin was the one she had the biggest bond with, especially considering her tragic background.

I love the fact that Kevin after realizing that he killed the doctor and seeing the girl and he asks the date and she says it’s not the same he instantly tells her to kill him It didn’t matter what he did to her Doesn’t matter if it’s been a day since that day on the bus or 10 years since that day on the bus He knows deep down that he has to die to stop this to stop hurting people............

To play a role where the main character has 24 multiple personalities (both male & female, boy and possibly girls) all differently in a scene shows an actor's true talent. James McAvoy is one of the best actors in the entertainment business and deserves an accolade of awards to his performance in Split.

It was easy for any actor to get lost in flamboyance while playing this role.. James "The Great" McAvoy chose subtlety to portray these personalities which gave a sense of reality and you could actually visualise it happening in real life. Oscars doesn't deserve this man!

Ive been curious about it for 3 months, but I finally got the chance to watch "Split" yesterday. And boy, am I glad I did. James MacAvoy's acting was outstanding, most notably in this scene. This was my favorite part in the whole movie. It really shows how sorry you feel for Kevin, all of his personalities keeping him down there since 2014. All of them are trying to gain control over Kevin, especially Patricia. Barry is my favorite personality.

Funny how you can tell the benevolent personas are trying to assure Casey in one way or another. Jade doesn't wanna die, Orwell doesn't want himself or the others tainted by the Horde's crimes and Barry is the only one who actually shows concern for Casey. Had the Horde not taken over, Barry would have helped Casey stop them.
