EUROPEAN RAILWAYS of the 1990s
Eindhoven Station (Nederlands NS) on 13th May 1996
This was my first visit to video the railways of Holland and as I was on route to Luxembourg, Eindhoven was on the list of places to call in on the journey. Situated on the main route from Utrecht and Germany and Roermond it carries a lot of passenger traffic and some freight. Traction wise I witnessed Locomotives of various Electric classes, mainly 1300, 1600, and other classes such as 6400, 9600, 2 car EMU stock as Plan V7, Y2/3, Z0/Z1 The 4000 class "Koploper", 3 car "Sprinter" 2800. and "Regio Runners" Plan 10M. A variety of stylish front end designs dating back some years and a mix of the then quite modern. Spot the replica UK Class 08 shunter.....
