Spontaneous flight in the Cessna!

7 жыл бұрынHaha! I mean altitude, man! Come on! Our 1976 Cessna 172M is the perfect platform to do so. This EXACT PLANE belonged to a family friend of mine and I grew up flying in it!!! THEN, YEARS LATER my awesome hubby Aaron decided to be COMPLETELY AMAZING and get his pilots license and the year he was finishing it, this very special plane came up for sale! ...so...we get high a lot! :-) Hope you enjoy this episode!

This reminds of when I was taking flying lessons in high school. Never did finish, but it was fun. Flew in a Cessna 150 and a 172... Awesome little planes.

Now this brought back great memories. A buddy used to have a Piper Archer that we flew everywhere. Even pulled the rear seats out so our mtn bikes would fit to flying and exploring. Cool video you guys - thank you!

Flying any time is a good time. I particularly like flying when the shadows cast by the ground shape and the trees get some length to them. Some know it as the golden hour.

You are to be envied. Both great Mechanics. A very careful really good pilot. A "yacht" a ski boat numerous cars and a terrific channel. I love the dog! A fan!

Worked for a dealership in '78 and the owner had a '78 Datsun Z. I was the only other one allowed to drive it. Loved it then, but I really like what y'all did with the DatZen !

It’s amazing that just 3.5 years ago they looked 6 years younger than now, February 2021. I do like the older version better. Maybe it’s just getting to know them over time.

The next time you go to Ouachita in the 172 you should film flying over the lake. I have spent hours flying around there. Beautiful place.

Does Aaron have a A&P rating also? One day my dream is to be a rated pilot to go along with my A&P. Its a good thing when you do builds you don't have to do all the paperwork you have to do for maintenance on a airplane. It would just suck all the fun out of hot rodding.

Too heavy. They could run a Viking Honda engine, though. Edit: Though, that would require them to register this aircraft as an experimental, and that's a huge pain to do with a certified aircraft.

Flying Sparks Garage...yep, pretty much floated it in - your pilot has good skills & knows his aircraft...l've flown a few Cessna's - a couple of 150's & 172’s...a Grumman TR2 was my favorite...l flew a few of those too...l liked the sliding canopy & the low wing design... good handling aircraft & pretty forgiving, but yours has the bigger cabin...l liked the flight, a lot of memories came flooding back

This is not fair... I have 44 hours in flight time towards my pilots license and then my dads plane flipped and smashed. No more plane. I had convinced myself that I did not need the licence and flying just was not in the cards. I had forgotten the feeling... until now... NOT FAIR! arrrgghhhh.... Maybe I WILL finish the kit plane in the barn.

You guys are rich I guess. Those little Cessnas cost quite a little bit? I see one for sale $379,000 dollars. Is your mom and dad rich or his I bet its his just wondering. You dont get rich working on Hot rods or Modeling. You all are from Texas his dad a oil man? I gotta wonder? I dont know anyone who owns a Cessna around here in this cow town. Aviation gas is high too ouch.
