People always seem to forget that this thing has 50mm of frontal armour, which at 1.7 can be suprisingly effective.

Spookston, the SPJ has 50mm of frontal armor which can bounce a lot of shells at range and closely when angled.

7:11 thats because the ab41 & 43 both have giant holes in the bottom of their armor model that makes them act like open tops

You should play jagpanzer cuz its just too good for 4.3 It has good cannon and armor that cant be penned by most tanks in 4.3

This thing is suprisingly well armored for 1.7 50mm of armor at a slight angle means that you can't be killed by .50 cals frontally and you can bounce a lot of stuff. Even the survivability isn't that bad for an open top, because if you get shot in the fighting compartment, your driver and radio operator are likely to survive. And if you get shot in the front you will most likely to only lose the driver, radio operator and transmission.

Trumpet Gun is the best boy. The best thing about Swedish home-brew tanks is they have serial numbers instead of names, so you make up your own! :) Which is easy, because they all look like clown cars.

The spj is one of the most funny vehicles in the game, especially considering it has a recoilless rifle at 1.7. Also, they should really fix that bug with the bridge.

Hey Spookston, could you play the Swedish CV 90105? It’s a very good light tank at 10.0.

The reason you kept bouncing shots is because it actually has fairly good armor for what it is. It's about 50mm. Also, this in a lineup with the Ikv 72 and the BT-42 is amazing.

the front plate is 50mm, no autocannon can penetrate you from the front, and if you angle it it'll only make the 35mm bits easier to penetrate that thing hard counters any 20mm SPAA, and even the 40mm bofors

This is one of the most entertaining WT gameplay videos, exactly because i loved playing this thing so much. Weird little tank but the gun shield is surprisingly good for its BR and the reload is really good compared to other derpcannons.

Two non-consecutive weeks of asking for the Type 60 SPRG (C). I did a comparison with another tank of similar qualities in the same BR, the M56, or Scorpion. Strangely, the Type 60 is faster despite being heavier. Granted, both tanks are vulnerable in the same ways, even if the Scorpion lacks any sort of turret armor. And the Scorpion has quite a few advantages, like having one round shy of three times the Type 60's ammo count, overall better muzzle velocity, more types of ammo, better projectile range and a better reload (6 for it's one cannon to the Type 60's 10 per cannon), but the Type 60 has a slight edge in that it has better turret rotation range and speed, double the gun depression and a pair of co-axial ranging machine guns (which are utterly useless for damage, except against the Scorpion's 5 millimeter bullet shield, ironically) and is smaller in real world and game space. Honestly, I'd say the Scorpion is better due to having better options to kill enemy tanks and it doesn't need to be looking at an enemy's front to maximize it's damage, but you can't ignore the Type 60's own advantages. I would implore Scorpion players to have a go in the Type 60 SPRG (C), you might enjoy it... And to not run directly into combat with either tank.

I love this tank a lot, it's one of my favourite low-tier howitzer tanks. I love how it'd armour is surprisingly good, especially for 1.7 - and the recoilless rifle just disintegrates anything you come across. Plus it actually has a machine gun, which is very rare. Used it up until like 4.0 lol.

How have you not played this thing before, it's always in my Swedish line up, even in top tier, such a blast.

One of those vehicles that does almost as well at top tier as reserve tier. Absolutely love it.

The Italian AB 43 is a vehicle you will enjoy I think. very fast, very sneaky, very cool ammo.

I’m very happy you finally decided to play my favorite vehicle. I hope your kidney stops trying to sabotage you. I think… you may have more fun with this vehicle at 7.0. It’s counterintuitive, yes, but it is so tremendously rewarding (literally) when you manage to top attack 70’s MBTs. This thing’s quiet engine and small size make it easy to hide in a rough spot, and its decent speed allows good mobility against enemies. I also just want to see you meme an IS-6 with this.

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. I am not gonna surrender in proposing this. I AM NOT GONNA SURRENDER, BE CLEAR! (Day 103)

Could you play one of the a13 variants? If you need motivation it's basically a British BT5 with slightly more armor (I think) and more spaced out crew

Thank you spookston for getting me into war thunder and helping me get through it all with all of your tips and trick, and because of your advice about the tiger and it not being a push in tank, just more of a stay back and advance when it is safe tank, I was able to get my first nuke, so I thank you so much... but the most important thing I have learned from you is that I don't like CAS at all

Re: the not harming autocannon, and the bridge of doom. I've thought for a while that the core, underlying engine that this game runs on is under a lot of stress. Best analogy is every year a family will drag out the same christmas tree, it's near falling apart, the trunk is rotten. But they never replace it, maybe staple some cardboard to it in a futile attempt top shore it up. But every year they always load more and more tinsel and baubles onto the frail and weak tree. One day it'll break. That's this game. Every patch, more tinsel, more baubles, more flashy effects that don't actually help the game at all, but boy is that core engine suffering. Meanwhile, hit boxes are still broken, penetration, post pen, armour physics are all no better than RNG. But heh, the tinsel looks cool. Kudos to you for still playing, I've finally given up. My regular sanity breaks turned continuous, I just have no want to ever start the client again.

I love that tank in CQC, once you have a bit of speed, it turns extremely faést, but also unstable. But basically, you launch yourself, then turn around the corner, and shoot whatever you are facing without braking at all. I managed a couple times to get more than 10 kills as I got some ammo back from capture points, and I still have it in my 7.0 line up, as it's great in late match to deal with lighter vehicles and AA

I love the spj so much I also ran it in my lineup until I got the Bkan at 6.7. i’ve also used it at top tier for a joke a couple times and it still works just as well as a hide and camp vehicle. the tricky part is aiming

Now, Spookston, take this into something in the 4.0-5.0 BR range and have fun.

Another fun fact is that this tank got quite heavy armor on its hull and upper shield, probably is the best armor in the Swedish line until 7.7. It can surprisingly take many shot and some idiot always thought they can 50 cal you but end up get clapped by 150mm HE (the gun shield can actually take 50 cal or some low penetration ammo)

I remember playing my Object 279 on the smaller Sinai variant and something bonked my side doing absolutely nothing. I turned my Turret and it was this swedish Trumpet staring at me. I bonked back.

I've had so much fun with that recoilless rifle, for some reason I was really good at guessing exactly how much I needed to lead the target and I always hit dead-on with that massive gun. Not the best thing ever, but I actually got kills with it and enjoyed getting them because it took a good degree of skill to hit things at range with it.
