Had a blast this season and really wanted to open it up to lesser known groups or groups that I never heard of or reacted to before. That was my main focus for the most part and I think we accomplished It! I’ve seen A LOT of recommendations and requests on every episode so for next year we can maybe look back into some of those. Infinite has a lot of dramatic/string based songs. I love them with all my heart. I remember when VIXX and EXO were promoting at the same time, EXO as wolves and VIXX as vampires, lol. Fun times.

Ladies' Code is really good, I recommend their entire discography easily. Sadly, two members passed away in a car crash pretty early in their career, in 2014. The remaining members went on hiatus for about a year after that, and then they held a memorial concert for the late members. They promoted as a trio until 2020, I believe they're all pursuing solo careers rn.

EXID are one of the most talented 3rd gen groups and their songs are so good with sexy choreos

VIXX was fr the vampire bg, they always nail the dark concept so well. also i miss the edgyness and campy of old kpop MVs so much

EXID is known for their catchy songs and dance moves. Both them and Ladies Code have such amazing discographies. And if you love r&b you will lovee G.SOUL he have such an amazing soulful voice (fun fact: he got to sing backup for Mariah Carey back then)

exid is a great group for ppl who like more mature nad retro like concepts with amazing vocals and raps, ex. their main rapper L.E is the reason why other female kpop rappers use that 'nasal' tone

Infinite, EXID, AND VIXX in this video feels like it's catered to me personally lmao, I love this so much!! When it dropped TT had such a hold on everyone, the point dance with the TT gesture is so fun!! Infinite ALWAYS serve top quality music and top quality vocals, absolute KINGS. As for EXID - they're one of the most unique girl groups out there, with a fantastic discography under their belt; LE (their rapper) didn't get to go off in this song but she's one of the best female rappers in the industry imo (also fun fact, she was Hyuna's mentor). Speaking of fantastic rappers, I forgot how good Anti was lol, it was good to revisit it. Also oh VIXX my darlings, I miss them so bad. Their style of music and just the theatricality of it all if so missed in kpop these days :') They do have less graphic mvs - in fact, the majority of their mvs are not that graphic haha. If you'd ever want to check out more of them, I feel like you'd LOVE Fantasy, Dynamite, Rock Ur Body, and Scentist. Also some of the members changed their hair recently so Starlights (the fans) are hoping for a comeback but we will see. I really enjoyed this series! I feel like a lot of people would tune in next year if you wanted to continue this playlist! :D

Kim Sung Kyu, the leader of INFINITE, who you know from Peaktime, also has his own solo and Dingo Killing voice. The whole group also went to Dingo as well. During their era, I really into their music because of the strings and some classical sound that they added into their music which made them quite unique.

TT is the song that got me into Twice so so good! I've never seen the Vixx vid before but it made me really nostalgic for really 2010 pop

vixx somehow always had the best concepts when they made their comebacks, some even called them king of concepts at some point. edit: i feel like with boy groups these days, they barely experiment with their concepts and either go sexy, boyish, or cool guy so compared to girl groups, yeah ppl would want to check GGs out more.

Zico's anti is a masterpiece. Lyrics are really important with Zico and especially with this one. It talks from the perspective of an anti, since he has to deal with soooo much hate. And yes, he is so creative and he is one of the artists I am so sad I dont know korean, because apparantly he plays soooo much with korean words that you can't really enjoy his lyrics 100% without being fluent. He is an amazing producer and lyricist. Since Block B's ex agencies (Stardom and KQ) fuck them over and didnt do shit, they had to do everything, so Zico was always helping in production of MVs too. He said that being a CEO now is "easy" since he had to always work like a CEO, since their agencies did nothing for them.

Bad is my favourite Infinite song, just love the strings. VIXX own dark concepts though.

Sojung is probably my favourite female vocalist in all of kpop and her voice adds so much to their music also their concepts we love our misandrist ladies! OMG I was OBSESSED with Bad when I first got into kpop. Loved this throwback! VIXX definitely take the cake with spooky concepts. You just cannot do a halloween special without them and I love that it still remains true. Also VIXX are one of the few kpop groups with an even number of members so they come with some really unique choreography to make sure that all members are being seen

VIXX are top tier when it comes to concepts, the Jekyll and Hyde concept here is so well portrayed. If you ever have the time, give Scentist and Fantasy a chance, you might like them. VIXX LR's Beautiful liar also has a really interesting concept, portraying 2 sides of the same person, the one that wants to let go and the one that wants to hold on, the lie and the truth (as a plus, it has some beautiful piano in it).

I'm a big fan o VIXX, I understand your struggle girl! Their MVs are so graphic, I used to watch them once in the release, and then I just watched their dance practices (Whic are AWESOME btw).

If you haven't already I highly recommend you reading Anti's lyrics. It's about the unnecesary hate an idol receives but from the perspective of the anti-fan themself, things like "No matter what efforts you made, what sufferings you went through Your success gave you the right to be insulted again". I was lucky enough to see him perform this song live and he made me shiver

Anti is SO good. I even have G-Soul's verse as my phone ringtone. LOL. Actually Zico's entire discography is PERFECTION (except maybe one song but that's just my personal opinion. LOL) Yep! Zico did a collab with Epik High called Rosario.

You're probably one of the very few KZfaq-reactioners (if not the only one) who spend so much time making so many different series and gets so creative with them, thank you for your hard work, Caitlin! I discovered a few new names for myself watching Spooky Season 2, and I was glad to see so many 2nd and 3gen groups that I listened to when I got into k-pop around 2014-2015. I do not stan Infinite, but I remember 'Bad' being huge back then and it was my personal bop fr. EXID is one of my favorite 3gen girl-groups, so I'd love to see them within a First look series if you ever decide to check them out. But I am even more excited for you to do a Deep Dive with VIXX! Yeah, they started out with scary dark concepts, but not all of their MVs are scary/graphic, especially later on in their career, and their discography is great, even if you only check out the title tracks, they're so good! zico is one of my favourite solo artists. Anti is so darn good. You should check out his killing verse 😭

The lyrics for Anti are so real and clever.. he basically wrote them in the perspective of an anti writing to him. He says that he doesn't understand why he's (zico) famous, why people love him, that no matter what you he goes through his success gave him the right to be insulted again, to be criticized, that his place and its consumers are king and and that he (zico) should be thankful to him (the anti). He also says he's not an anti and all this is all "fan mail".
