Make sure you get some type of mesh to cover the ducting you connected to outside or you will get critters in it. (Bunnies, cats, squirrels, bugs etc.)

@ScottWConvid19Ай бұрын
You condensed a lot of information into a fairly short video, thanks. Lack of knowledge and motivation kept me from setting up my tent last year and I really wasn't sure how I needed to to the air exchange and humidity, so this helps tremendously. I'm curious why you would have a heater "in the room" as opposed to "in the tent," and how much heat can actually penetrate the walls of the tent, seeing that they have a heat and light reflective lining.
@SporenSproutАй бұрын
The heat generated outside the tent rises to the ceiling and the filtered inline fan ducting on top of the tent sucks in that heat.

May i ask, why preferably on a cement floor? My basement floor is damp and cold ALWAYS... so I would have intuitively laid an insulating layer between tent and floor😳 I'll not be able to swing that size, but I'd LOVE to setnup a smaller version. Is there anything needing to be modified for a smaller set? Thank you!😊

How to buy that kind of tent? I am in sri lanka..our county's doesn' t have this kind of tent? 😢 Also ..is light is needed at night time for fruiting mushrooms.?
@SporenSproutАй бұрын
Just set up a plastic tarp house outside and make it humid and provide fresh air occasionally throughout the day. No light is not needed at night. Indirect light during day time is good enough.

I was thinking about going with a 10x10 soon. This is a great setup. Do you use the pillow stuffing for your air intake as a type of filtration system?
@SporenSprout2 ай бұрын
Yeah I use pillow stuffing in between two of those duct vent caps to make sure no particulate gets in. The factory building I’m growing in used to be a ceramics factory so it’s dusty/powdery.
@RipperYouTubeOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@SporenSprout Another great idea by you! I ended up buying a couple of those AC Infinity filter boxes to filter the air into my humidifier (from one of your videos) for that purpose. Pillow stuffing would probably work better, and be lot's cheaper.

@@SporenSprout In regards to this building, is this a new location for you, for growing?
@SporenSprout2 ай бұрын
@@RipperKZfaqOfficial Sort of, I have been growing in one of the rooms for the last year. There is a lot more space I could use to fit 10-20 more grow tents but the space is occupied by giant old lathes and heavy machinery. It will be a couple years still before I can get it all cleared out and really start commercial production.

@@SporenSprout I can't wait to see how much you expand. In 2 to 3 years, magic mushrooms should start getting on the bill to pass for medical use. At that point, maybe you need to setup at my 2nd building here in Oklahoma.

Be careful with those "waterproof" LED strips man. Almost burned my house down the other day. Had a waterproof strip running for about 8 months straight with no issues randomly found it shorted out MELTING plastic in my tent, ruined all my bags (mycelium absorbs EVERYTHING so dont wanna sell anybody no melted plastic cancer lions mane lol) Thinking about switching to LED rope lights the ones in the tubes to prevent water condensating inside the strips

Those are the absolute worst shelves to use. I hated using them. They lack air flow because they only have a few holes in the middle and thats where youre going to put stuff. Zero options on height adjustment. They are cheap. They dont rust. But I like the lower end commercial metal racks better personally. Havent had them rust in 4 years or so.
