Loved hearing what you had to say anout the all road, completely explains how I feel about it. It is literally my "if all else fails balls" and my "I can't really go wrong with this ball, ball"

Every time I see video of the All-Road, I'm impressed at how much continuation it has. It seems like it goes through the pins harder than just about anything else at that hook potential.

Yeah, it's a really solid performer. Again, there's nothing "sexy" about the reaction, but it just quietly goes to work.

Wild Streak is my goto ball when lanes are squirrely. Such a good, predictable reaction.

I find your collections interesting. They are going along the same lines as I am chosing. I was staying away from the IQ Tour because I bought it for a friend (don't want mixed up balls). Because of you I will get one and use different color inserts. My fifth ball is the Fever Pitch.

I’ve gone with the Physix, Phaze II, Phaze 3 (my ball 3) IQ Emerald, and Hyroad Pearl.

Really loving this series! Slightly off topic. What would you slot between a Phaze 3 and Hyroad Pearl for house shot on wood lanes medium volume?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
IQ Emerald fits in there pretty perfectly I think! Rollier but not as aggressive as the P3, same cover as the Hyroad Pearl, so there's familiarity there, but it's earlier and stronger.

You'd like to THINK that lol . . but I can't really pick from stuff that's discontinued, if people are interested or want it, they need to be able to go out and get it, soooo . . but yeah, otherwise it'd be there lol.

@@LukeRosdahl they pop up occasionally but I have a hard time buying a ball I cant replace, with certain exception such as the street fight 😎. A lot of people must be hoarding them.

Hey Luke, I know this is a older video now but with the cover differences could the IQ Emerald and the Wild Streak function as 4 & 5 ball in a arsenal? What do you think?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah definitely, there's big core differences too. In a stronger arsenal, the Emerald could play as a 5 ball, or the Wild Streak actually could with a weaker layout and shine.

As a 2 hander, are you suppose to grip the grips, or keep your fingers loose?
@leonardross3737

Most 2 handers dig into there grips using there finger tips only so they have more hand on the ball which makes it easier to pop it off on your release to increase rev rate
@hisbassness
@hisbassness 4 жыл бұрын
I would be wary of trying to use an extreme amount of grip via tight inserts or really digging your fingers deep. I had a no-thumb teammate who liked to really dig deep into his inserts until his finger got stuck in the ball one night. He missed more than a season while he recovered.
@justmakingthistoreply5085

I’m a two hander and you’ll hear it pop as it comes off my middle and ring finger tips. It’s the only grip you’re gonna have but there’s certain points in your swing that you won’t grip as tightly
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
There's no one specific way to do it, it's a personal preference thing. Some people apply a lot of grip strength, and some nearly completely relax their hand, so it's really what works for you. Like the other replies have said though, definitely wouldn't dig in deeper or anything, let the edge of the grip fit right into the crease of your first knuckle, that's the most effective and comfortable way to do it, otherwise you might tear your fingers up.

Loved this series and revisit it to learn regularly, if I'm looking at finishing up an arsenal to start moving into more tournaments while also still being able to play on a house is there anything you could recommend to fill out my last 2 slots? I'm a 2 hander, average revs and speed and currently have a physix, super soniq and promotion, am thinking of a pitch black and maybe something like a tour emerald or mvp pearl to round out the bag? Or are there any other balls you'd suggest? Appreciate all the time you put into helping people out here, have learnt lots from your content!
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Sounds like you're going in the right direction, I'd probably go like Emerald and Ink to round out the bag before you'd go for urethane unless you see sport patterns frequently. If you bowl on mostly house patterns, I think that you can wait for urethane, or at least prioritize the other stuff.
@Providenza
@Providenza 4 жыл бұрын
@@LukeRosdahl yeah im wanting to look at getting into some more sports tournaments this year and know from last year some are heavy short patterns which is why I figured urethane, will look into both of those though, really appreciate the feedback thanks Luke!

What slot would you place the phaze 3 in? Would it fall in between a 2/3 slot? Or specifically shares similarities to another ball? Looks very similar to phaze 2 in your video
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Phaze 3 would be a 2 or 3 ball, yes, and it rolls similarly to the P2, but the overall traction and how it handles friction is a fair bit different, so it would likely go in a bag in place of the Astro PhysiX

i have the phsyix. but sometimes it can be to strong. what should i invest in next.. a phase 3 and wild streak or wait for the new ufo ball to come out?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
UFO is stronger than the PhysiX, so that's definitely out lol, I'd say the P3 would be a great ball down from a PhysiX actually.

When we have to stick to a four ball arsenal, could the All road be that 3 ball before the burn ball but after the bigger stuff like the phase 2?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Yup, definitely. I think between the core and the smoothness of the cover it could work on MOST stuff, because you're not going to see a flood all the time, and with as quickly as the men transition the lanes in college, you could be there pretty quick.

When you move left like that with the same ball, do you adjust your ball speed or are there other factors? Can you explain?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the conditions. Usually when I'm filming I try to simulate several different "games," or bowler styles rather. More of a stroker look, kind of a tweener in between, and then a cranker from deep. When I'm doing that on a fresher condition, I do need to slow my speed down and/or rev the ball up more when I get in deeper to overcome both the angle and the volume, plus increase my angle of rotation. I come a lot more up the back of it from straighter angles, and get around it a bit more when I move in.
@bdatwood76
