Sport Mode Button and other customisations for Toyota C HR

6 жыл бұрынToyota C-HR unfortunately doesn't come with a drive mode selection direct switch, but instead we have to go to menu options to select different drive modes like SPORTS/NORMAL/ECO. And more over Sports mode will be disabled when the car is restarted. Auto door locking once the car starts moving, and enabling brake hold, are all that we have to do manually in a C-HR. Also there is no option to see if the car wheels are steady, once you have parked your car, sitting inside your car. And very often we have to get again to the car to steady the wheels, as we see them turning to some direction when looking from outside. Here is a module built for the same and the video shows how to build and install this module.

Must be something I am doing wrong, or it is only on the 2018 Premium C-HR. The most wanted feature - The sport/eco/normal switch works brilliantly. The auto door lock at speed does not appear to work. The steering wheel beep is not working either. - I do not have the parking brake circuit installed - I do not have a need for it.

In mine most of those parts are leather as mine is the highest trim so I feel scared of removing them . Even the whole center console is piano black so im scared

are the resistors needed if not going with the steering wheel straightening option? Looks like it may be...

Better to have the resistors or you will have to change the code to remove the code part that brings the pin high and low

@@carDIYs I see. I have the resistors there. A good idea that way when the switch is moved any voltage is discarded through the resistor to ground. Sometimes, I do miss my electronics courses. Got most of it ready - just need to find a 12v ACC point - may have to tap the Radio ACC as there is none on the passenger side like your model. The Network Gateway is on the passenger side and in a horizontal position - confirmed with pin-out and description from www.tochr.net/

Just to be careful while playing with the Network Gateway. Please switch off the car completely before pulling out the connector. Or you might get lot of error codes which you will have to clear using Carista or any other OBDII readers. It’s always better to have one handy with you if in case of any error code appearing

Rajeeve, Any chance you would be willing to build one of these for me and supply the parts? To be specific, I'd love to install it on a 2018 or 2019 US C HR. What would you charge? Or I could make a donation to the sites you suggest. Please advise.

Where can I get that switch? The three position one for the C-HR.

Actually the switch is self made, took an existing dummy out of my car and drilled a large hole to fit in a 3 way switch which you can buy online or from electronics components shops.

@@carDIYs Got the switch and installing now. The switch took a long time to carefully Dremel in, but got it in with no issues with the housing or the switch - strange got find that the switches are "keyed" for the ones that are already in - so they can not just be moved over :-( Oh well. The ToyotaNA ECU gateway is on the passenger side in a horizontal position near the blower fan, the only long route of wires is for the switch - not installing the parking brake option as I do not have a need/want of it. I am looking at how to wire the Arduino power - there is no red wire like your video has. it is blank and there is no lead connected behind it - I checked by removing the block - not easy. May route from the radio?
