I really wanted a Shoei GT Air but can't quite stretch to their cost. Would you recommend the Scorpion as a cut price option without too may compromises? Really good reviews by the way!

i bought a size Large helmet, over an XL it fits nice and snug, but when i push my lips out, I'm kissing the inside of the helmet. is that ok, or should i be in an XL? and also should the pads by the neck roll be flat? because when i have the helmet on the pads on the bottom are pushed out a bit

Long time Scorpion helmet wearer here. Have to say I like the fit of both the R410 and my old EXO-700. I prefer the build quality of the EXO over the R, especially the cheekpads. The cheekpads and headliner on the EXO cover and cushion the ears which makes it a quieter, more comfortable lid over the newer interiors. The cheekpads on the newer models have most of my ear exposed to an open shell. Not good for a side impact for one thing. Noisier for another. When I compare the two I think 'solid' when I think about my EXO, and I think 'plastic feel're when I think new R-series. What I do like more about the newer models is they have dialed in a better head shape and better aerodynamics. Way less bobble now than in early models. But that doesn't mean you had to redesign the cheekpads and headliners. If you have Scorpion's ear I would say to you this - Air pump system is great but stop DRILL MOUNTING it into the EPS of the shell. No need to, as you already have a one piece pump/cheekpad/neck roll unit in production on a few models. Making it only one way CUTS PRODUCTION COSTS! K.I.S.S. Also, I would standardize regular cheekpads and headliners into two category choices that fit any helmet - EXO FIT (quiet and more comfort) and new style (more airflow)

For an upright riding, which would be more quiet, Shoei rf1200 or the scorpion t1200? I ride an Yamaha Fz 07. Currently use the HJC IS 17. Looking to upgrade. Or GT air? Thanks.

Between this Scorpion T1200 or R2000 Both look similar and have the same features but one is 100 bucks less and I'm not sure why? Anyone know the reason?
