Watching him play in MSG will remain to be one of my best life memories. New York was absolutely amazing to see. And seeing a rangers game with you crazy Yorkers was beautiful man 😇 go Igor.

The best news for today. Igor proved his superiority by playing in the playoffs. There was an unpleasant thought that it might turn out like with Vasilevsky last season. The confrontation of these two Russian goalkeepers in the Stanley Cup semifinals will find a worthy place in history

Imagine if Shesty had a functioning defense infront of him like Tampa... but nonetheless. Amazing season! Was fortunate to catch him live at MSG several times this season, including Lundquist Night and G6 vs Canes and G2 vs Bolts. MSG was electric!! III-GOR!

@@Justme77400 I like your comments. The first time I saw Rangers on TV was in 1975, they lost to CSKA. It was a time of great matches. John Davidson missed seven times. But out of all the NHL clubs, I chose this team. I don't know why I did that. I don't believe in "Dutton's Curse" and I know that 1994 will happen again. We need to play defense with discipline.

I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and I reside in Toronto. I am guilty of being a Leaf’s-centric fan through the regular season. What I love about the game of hockey is seeing all other teams who are left who are chasing the Cup hard. I witnessed so many exciting games and it takes A LOT of will, skill and talent to be a champion. I heard Shesterkin’s name many times this season and many times, once his name was said by the announcer, it was followed by “Shesterkin is an amazing Goalie!” I am happy that he won the Vezina Award this year! He seems highly regarded by his teammates and fans. Congratulations, Igor! 🤩

Fully deserved for the season he’s had in net for us, I’m so happy for Igor. He’s going to join a very star-studded list of great goalies to play for our organisation. We were in the position we were hugely due to his amazing game winning performances night in night out. Hopefully Drury will make some smart additions to the blue line in the off-season and give Igor some better protection for next season, so he’s not doing it all on his own! LGR!

Отрадно, что политика не вмешалась. Считаю, что Игорь по праву заслужил "Везину Трофи"... Он демонстрировал потрясающую игру на протяжении всего сезона, во многом благодаря которой "Рейнджерс", дошли до финала Восточной конференции.

Hank is like; ”whaaaat nooo how is this possible? An even better and more likeable goalie in NYR!” With good intentions of course. Iiiigor! Iiigor! What a season. It was a Dream come true to bring my 10 year old goalie playing son to MSG for the Conference Finals and watch no 31.

He is one year younger than Vasy. Vasy has 4 Stanley Cup finals series and 2 wins so far. I guess u could say he is better than Vasy ever will be. I’d take Vasy any and everyday.

Crazy thing is Shesty still has another notch or two he can go beyond what we saw from him this year. Over .950 save percentage and sub 2.00 GAA is doable. He actually was on pace for those historic numbers but hit a rough stretch towards the end of the regular season.

@@HouseOfHockey14 Shesty had a .935 save percentage during the 21-22 season. If he hadn't struggled in a handful of games down the stretch, his SP would have been damn near .950. So after a full NHL season and a playoff run under his belt can he improve on last season? I wouldn't be against it.

Yes Shesterkin struggled a little bit down the stretch, but what makes you think that he’s not gonna have a bad stretch at all next season? He would have to have almost no bad games at all to have a .950 save percentage. I don’t know how long you’ve been watching hockey, but I don’t think you understand how perfect he would have to be to have a .950 save percentage lol.

@@HouseOfHockey14 Lol, you must have failed math in school. The difference between .935 and .950 save percentage is .5 less goals allowed per game. If he saves half a goal more per game and/or has a few more shutouts he can make history. Records are made to be broken and if anyone can do it it’s the guy who just won the Vezina award.

The odds of this happening are astronomically low. Tell me your Venmo, and I’ll Venmo you $2000 if he finishes next season with a .950 save percentage or above in 50+ games played.

Если политике нет места в спорте, зачем начинать игры с государственных гимнов, зачастую привлекая к этому ветеранов войн (Ирак и др.), делать милитаристскую серию хоккейных джерси и т. д. Да, я очень рад, что политика не помешала Шестеркину взять абсолютно заслуженную Везину, но, увы, спорт - и хоккей, в частности (НХЛ, КХЛ - неважно) - отнюдь не вне политики
