Not as invisible is Leafs Captain, Matthew T hardly had a great series either but he’s on the winning side, best player in this series was Borobsky, Woll did good as a 3rd string goalie cud, shame Samsonov got injured he was our best chance!

Leafs never fail to disappoint and traumatize their fans. I would like to see their overall playoff stats for the last 50 years, in comparison to other teams. How far do they make it, on average? Not only have they not won a Cup since 1967, Leafs have NOT EVEN BEEN IN THE FINALS since 1967. That is really shameful. At least Vancouver and Buffalo have been in the finals.

A “backdoor sweep” is losing game 1 then winning 4 straight because you went backdoor on their ass when they were busy celebrating the game 1 victory.

This was huge for them to make it this far, I know everyone wants to say Panthers we’re the underdogs and yes I agree with what your saying but the Leafs were laughed at from the beginning and nobody expected them to beat Tampa.

Florida aint beating carolina. They just won the most unconvincing 4-1 series ive ever seen. You cant lean on bob like that against the canes. Florida played good defense, but were outplayed for 60 to 70% of this series. Imagine how rough the canes will be.

Florida is 1 year removed from winning the presidents trophy. They made a bunch of changes to their core in the summer and it took them a while to get it together. Not saying the they’ll beat Carolina but it wouldn’t shock me I really like that roster

Im a leafs fan and im sick of hearing that they played soft. They didnt. They outplayed florida for more than half this series. The possesion time, the shots on net, the offensive zone time. But we ran into a hot goaltender and couldnt finish. I thought we outplayed the panthers in 3 out of 2 games. But the panthers jumped all over our giveaways and mistakes. 60% of them by justin holl btw. Holl is one of the worst players in the league and it showed badly. Way too much ice time for him. Keefe should be gone. And our stars barely scored. Congrats to florida. I wouldnt count on beating the canes because i think theyre winning the cup.

fking brutal but i knew they wouldn't win at home.. i was hoping in OT, but... dug too big a hole being down 3-0 and can't score more than 2 goals per game. i think that goal was a goal, and some missed penalties like the elbow on marner, but matthews got 0 goals!!! says it's a game of inches but for 15m or whatever it is you gotta be the guy to get it in or find someone else who does it

This is the 30th anniversary of the worst disaster in Leaf history. Losing to LA Kings in Game 7 of the semi-finals, sunk by Wayne Gretzky. If Leafs had won, they would have played Montreal in the FINALS. This was a TRAGEDY of biblical proportions. Most young fans probably have no clue this even happened. We came within a whisker of a Toronto-Montreal final in 1993. And Toronto was up 3 games to 2 in the series against LA. Under the current division alignment, Toronto and Montreal cannot even meet in the final anymore.

Why do i have to be so stubborn and keep rooting for this team seriously? I cant root for another team because ive rooted for Toronto all my life and it wouldn't feel the same towards the other team. We're stuck with this it's literally an abusive relationship! This team just hurts us time and time again yet we keep coming back to them time and time again! When are they gonna stop wasting our time?

As far as I'm concerned, Nylander, Matthews, and Reilly are the ONLY untouchables on this team. The core 4 era had its chance to do its thing. Time for a change now.

No matter what, we still have the better team, more entertaining hockey and the GREATEST fans in the world. As far as Florida its like going to the museum and looking at Prehistoric Cavemen. Only difference is they are holding clubs, and these so called hockey players are holding hockey sticks. They have evolved. Just a little..
