Another great review - thanks There is one specific food that keeps showing up in ads on my FB feed and I finally clicked an ad because it showed up so much - The reason I mention it here is it may be a good review product for you because they put the full dry matter analysis of the food on each product, including mineral content, and all that jazz - so it would not require a lot of research on your part, just the review - it is called "My Perfect Pet Food" - it's a "gently cooked" food that looks like a meatloaf bar or something - it would cost me a thousand dollars a month to feed to my dogs (not joking) - so it's super expensive - anyway - just thought it might be an easy review for you since they put a full analysis sheet on each product - keep up the good work

Dr. Could you kindly do a video review on redbarn puppy and adult line. I used your puppy parameter guideline spoke to them to find out the phosphorus which is 1.3 % for both recipes grain/grainfree lines fyi. Appreciate your time 😀🙏

Any recommendations for a dog that absolutely refuse kibble. I currently feed Evanger's lamb and rice canned and Sunday's turkey. Any reviews on these foods would be great.

Just a Note: It did say they suggested 300 calories per day for the example dog you used - you scrolled over it - it was towards the top at 20:22 in the video

They mixed up the cooking heat every other day. If you notice some days it looks darker.

I tried the sample. If you go further with the order it tells the calories and you get instructions that have the calorie count per type. I believe when I broke the chicken down it was 41.25 cal per oz and the beef was 53 and some change. The scoop they send split up where to fill based on the type of food and they label the scoop with a number that I believe is the number of ounces. I used this as a small food topper for a 10lb dog the recommendation was 300 calories. Scoop sizes are sligthly larger than baking measurements. The 75 was slightly larger than a 3rd of a cup and the 150 slightly larger than a half

@@xm4xc I tried it. The dogs loved it however with 4 dogs it was a bit pricy for me as I also have 3 cats. I would prefer larger bags. But I liked that they were light for my arthritic hands!

K the video is pretty long and educational but very technical. Regardless of price and preparation, I’d like to just know is this food better and/or safer than your typical processed kibble?

@@pun3wide Not to speak for her, but the nutrient levels here (especially for calcium and phosphorous) are way higher than is recommended for an adult dog. High-quality kibbles are those that meet or are much closer to the recommended levels for those nutrients. Poor quality kibbles suffer from the same issues as Unkibble.

Amazing video, I switched my dog to hill science diet from open farm, marketing is insane. If I ever feed fresh food definitely doing Ollie. Can you review Dr.Harveys or FERA pets or canidae. I work at a doggie daycare and see these all the time.

160 is completely safe. Food safety is based on time at a temperature. To say that you shouldn't buy chicken because it is not safe is completely false. Chicken can be safe at 145. As I said depends on time at temperature.

The scoop size varies by dog and it said Sable would get 300 calories so its a 300 calorie scoop :) My dog currently eats spot and tango but we are still in trial she enjoys eating it way more than regular kibble, I dont know if its more nutritious but I really need her to eat and she will leave her food all day and not eat until she is absolutely starving with other food. But im open to trying other companies -- I just dont know what to feed

My dog loves, so far, the Spot and Tango turkey/sweet potatoes unkibble. However, I object the fact that customers are obligated to subscribe to a monthly program and not be able to purchase whenever the food is needed. At least I have not seen that option on their website. As a consumer advocate, I do not appreciate such business tactics. It's really too bad because the ingredients on their food is excellent and healthy. My dog does not eat much so one bag will last her far more than 2 weeks - being on a limited income, it's tough to justify $129. per month for 2 bags of food. I will go back to making her food with a recipe of ground turkey, sweet potatoes, vegetables, and supplements - in addition to Kirkland's organic salmon/sweet potatoes kibbles. Even doing that, it nowhere near costs me over $50/month because the bag of dog food lasts several months.

I don’t like the subscriptions either, the reason they do that is that data suggests that a company will garner more revenue when they have a customer on auto ship, so yeah, more marketing.

They cook the food in different heat every other day and then they mix them up . Overheated one day and uncooked enough other days.

Why are you deducting points for not having grains??? Dogs have 0 nutritional requirements for grain, which, by the way, is highly inflammatory

This has been discussed many times on this channel. please refer to ongoing research regarding grain free and the link to heart disease in dogs. Your personal veterinarian can help bring you up to speed regarding this matter.
