Maybe the most honest and pure artist in the music business. Never change.

That’s right! Nothing he says feels scripted or swayed by the “machine.” He’s about as real as it gets!

Yep pure raw talent. He did it on his own, transition out of the military is very tough and he’s killing it outside of there! Awesome to see his success, don’t ever sell your soul to them cold damn vampires. Keep doing you, keep having fun on this journey, keep them boys around!

I'm an old timer, Zach Bryan is this generations Johnny Cash. You can feel the heart and soul in you bones there's no mistaking it. I bought the actual CD, wish I could find the CD's of his acoustic music, especially El Dorado, hopefully he releases the full version of that. Keep it up kid and keep your humble ways!

Though he was heavily influenced by Johnny Cash (and I certainly hear that in his music) I more so see him as a modern-era equivalent to Jim Croce, or John Denver, or James Taylor. I'm only 19, but I still listen to the old stuff that my parents listened to. And one thing I like about these singers is that their songs are not only good, but as songwriters these songs are their own. Croce, Denver, and Taylor wrote a great portion (if not all) of their songs, and their heart-felt poetry is heard and felt in their songs. Other musicians I like who do similar things include James Hetfield (Metallica), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Elliott Smith, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, John Moreland, Alec Benjamin, Billie Eilish (with her brother Finneas O'Connor) and the members of the Good Kid Band. These artists have written many or all of their songs, and those ones are usually the best ones. But Zach Bryan is by far the most expressive, and the most intimate of them all. Ever since I first heard my Sergeant play "68 Fastback" when I was at MCT, I fell in love with his music. "Condemned", "Headin' South", "Sweet DeAnn", "Something in the Orange", "Travelin' Man", "Sun to Me", and my favorites right now, "Deep Satin" and "The Good I'll Do". They delve deep into not only the vulnerability and the intimacy and wonders of the human intellect and soul, they reveal Zach's own thoughts and soul. He shows to the world that he is no different than any of us as a human, and he helps us embrace that through his songs. The artists I listed definitely convey that, but not all of their songs do so in such as vulnerable and intimate way like Zach's do. I pray for all the best for Zach and his music! Keep doing what you're doing, PO2!

Thanks for you’re music bro. It’s been a long time without real music. You and your boys are something special, honestly once in a lifetime this happens. You guys sound nothing like anyone I’ve ever heard and I think a lot of it has to do with how real it all is. Keep keeping on brother you’re music helps a lot of people. It makes the bad days better the sad days sadder(in a good way) and the good days better days. You’re making a lot of people proud and helping even more, not to bad for a poor boy from the flats. You and the boys stay safe out there and hopefully one day I get the opportunity to thank you guys in person. I’m not from the flats just a little further north east at the top of nys near the Adirondack mountains in one of the many small towns in what’s known as the north country.

Great music transcends generations and Zach’s has done that! I’ve seen him three times (Lexington X 2 and Louisville). Headed to the greatest venue in the world; Red Rocks in November. I literally ran into him last year at the Tyler Childers concert. I said it would be amazing to come back in a year to see him…God Speed to another all night Revival from another older Messed Up Kid who has surpassed Half Grown. Something in the Orange of Red Rocks not In July but, November.

Out of everything, He wants people to know he’s human. And THAT is exactly why he blew up in record time. Bc he writes about the parts of life that all of us humans go through. I’ve followed Dermot Kennedy since his teen years bc of his songwriting and voice. Dermot writes about his experiences he holds dear in his memory or a moment, where many lyrics that we love bc they are beautiful, they are part of this sort of microcosm of his own private moments, it’s all a series of his memories And it’s beautiful. But, as a die hard DK fan, Zach’s songwriting is as much songwriting as it is storytelling of the same stories we all have. But it touches deeper bc he writes about things so relatable that are just parts of life, and he does it in a way that takes those moments to a far deeper level. He dives head first and DEEP into those relatable moments and brings them back up to us in such beautiful prose. That, And he’s just a simple dude happy to be alive and that’s ABSOLUTELY REFRESHING!!
