1. jump into relationship fast. Too much too soon. 2. Guilt you for not giving them all your attention 3. Emotional lability 4. Isolate you from others 5. Talk about being a “soul mate” 6. Grand gestures-over the top gifting, etc 7. Devalue you 8. Don’t respond well to questions or conversations about taking things slowly Make sure you consult with friends and family about concerns you and/or they have.

Everything is rushed nowadays. It is a symptom of having it all now. Running out of time in life. Have to know now.

Adopted 3 kids in year 4 of marriage, she started withholding and removing physical intimacy the next year, by year 14 - nothing, not even a kiss (8 years in JUNE). Always a moving goalpost of reasons - always pointing back to me - therapy is not working, she keeps changing the excuses and points to me being a NARC. I simply respond that I would not stay in a sexless marriage like this if "I" were a NARC.

I’m sorry. You deserve better. I do wonder if she has a possible sexual abuse or assault history. I hope you can get to the bottom of it in therapy and through communication you get to your truth either way. Everyone deserves to be happy and feel loved and desired. Take care

@@glittereagle88 No - we have discussed in depth - time and time again. I believe it is a combination of her natural avoidant attachment issues, coupled with 20_ year Prozac use for migraines, hormone changes from Peri and Menopause, plus stress and burnout. Problem is - she still won't discuss with her OBGYN (not that he actually cares, guy is a hack while have a reputation of "being one of the best" - he isn't providing any kind of real care). She attributes not feeling the same way with "falling out of love" instead of understanding that this is a combination / hormone issue. Stress alone can tank your drive, add=in the SSRI impact along with crazy hormones in Perimenopause and it's a recipe for Divorce. Gray divorce has tripled since 1990 - TRIPLED!
