Hold up... they refused to pay $400 for work but had no problem paying their attorney $1100? I know they got the money back but wow... sounds like they were just trying to make the contractor's life difficult.

I am not gonna lie, when I worked at a construction company, it was satisfying to put liens on homes. It wasn't many but these home owners that got liened deserved it. It was literally the last thing to do after we try to be reasonable. They would hold a 10,000 dollar check for a 50 dollar repair. We would tell them that we cannot honor our warranty unless we are fully paid and they would get angry. We needed to pay our employees with that check. Also that check was usually insurance money. By law, they can not keep that money. They are so confident when they don't pay us and then they come crawling back when they can't sell their house. They always paid with interest in the end.

Oh my..that was awful!! Feel so bad for the plaintiff as that client was, can't even find words, vindictive, spiteful, and so over the top for a simple mistake..made a mountain our of a molehill. I dint think the Yelp review was ALL opinion, I do believe what he said was biased and not 100% true.

I've just had a company to reduce the height of a tree in my garden. The branches landed on my rose bed. Some plants were damaged but I never even mentioned it to the workers as the plant can recover or I can replace it. I was just delighted to get the tree work done. This miserable couple just looked for an excuse not to pay!

There's a rule about HAIR - when you get older you should make it lighter (if you color it) -- also most wigs look awful on men. Also hair should be cut shorter every 5-10 years after age 35. There. I said it.
