00:00 Spring Crafts Introduction
00:23 Step 1:Trace the patterns and cut out-make a hole in the center of the heart on the pattern
00:33 Step 2: Place 2 pieces of fabric right sides together (4.5" x 5.5" doubled)
00:43 Step 3: On wrong side of fabric-trace pattern (heart on the left side) with Mark-B-Gone
00:53 Step 4: Mark a dot in center of the heart-make sure it bleeds through the other side
01:03 Step 5: Trace the heart on a contrasting piece of 2"x2" fabric
01:24 Step 6: For the heart cut away-sew the outline of the heart on the wrong side-(outside) left side-remove the top fabric on the inside of the heart-cut close to the stitches revealing the contracting fabric underneath-applique scissors are excellent for this
03:29 Step 7: For the applique heart, sew on the right side (inside)-left side-and trim close to the heart after it is sewn-removing as much as possible of the fabric on the outside of the heart
04:48 Step 8:Sew all the way around the rabbit pattern on the line-lock the stitches
05:12 Step 9: Cut out 1/4" away from the sewn line-snip close to the outside & inside of the ears-this will release the tension before turning inside out
05:27 Step 10: Cut a 1-1/2" to 2" slit in the back of the rabbit and turn right side out through slit-make the slit where the rabbit "scut" or tail will be
05:55 Step 11: Stuff the rabbit using small amounts of cotton at a time
07:26 Step 12: Sew the slit closed by hand on the back of the rabbit
07:49 Step 13: Sew or embroider the face this includes the nose before painting, staining, or grunging
10:26 Step 14: Paint and or stain the rabbit-(see grunge video 10:35)
10:53 Step 15: Sew the eyes with floss or sew on glass beads
12:36 Step 16: Stencil a date or a word on the lower part of the front (optional)
12:46 Step 17: Sew or glue a cotton ball to the sewn slit area in the back for a "scut" or tail
13:27 Step 18: Sew the whiskers on if nose was done
14:14 Step 19: Wrap a wire or jute around the body of the rabbit and add a charm (optional)
14:51 Step 20: Trace, sew, and stuff the carrots exactly as for the rabbit-(turn inside out or not)
15:17 Step 21: Paint and grunge the carrots, use Sweet Annie for the carrot tops or faux greenery

Thank you so much! I debated whether I should introduce primitive in my channel this late in the game. It's one of my passions. It's too hard to get monetized on a new channel just for prims if I wanted to dedicate a channel just for prims. I am hoping my subs that started with me before I introduced prims don't fall away. But, hopefully they will just enjoy watching :) Thank you again for taking the time to comment and especially joining our community. Working on a prim little quiet church doll, "my name for her", hopefully next week with a free pattern (of course) :) I try and do a prim every other video. Have an awesome day!!!

Laura, I know you can do this! Each time you master a small accomplishment like this bunny, it sets the motion for more. I do not always succeed, but that is where the learning and growing comes in. Primitive crafts are so forgiving, that is what makes them awesome and unique. If there is anything you get stuck on, reach out, I will be happy to walk you through it. And, thank you for the kind words, but know, everyday in anything I do, I sometimes have to redo-or just accept it the way it turns out. I can't wait to see your 🐰 🐰, you can do this!

I just found you I love your videos. So detailed and easy to follow. I am dying some wool roving for leprechauns hair that I am giving to family and friends. Any suggestions on what to use to get the red/orange color for their hair? Thanks!

Thank you!! Sounds like fun, believe it or not, Kool-Aid is awesome for dyeing wool! Rit Dye works well for natural fibers. Just presoak, and keep temps the same or you’ll have felted hair! 😀 I’ve been thinking of doing a video on dyeing fibers and cotton, 2 different beasts in my opinion. Hope this helps? I usually create all my lettering in Canva and bring them into the design studio-I used several for primitive in Canva, they are: Pinyon Script, Anastasia Script, and Parisienne. Thanks for the watch and the comment :)
