Spring Snapper and Crayfish kayak spearfishing mission!

8 ай бұрынIts a lovely spring morning and after dropping my daughter of at her taxidermy lesson I head out on the kayak to see if I can catch a feed of crayfish and snapper to take home for the whanau.
It's a but of a slow start but before to long crayfish are making it into the back of the kayak and towards the end of the dive I finally manage to add a snapper to the bag.

Kerry great videos mate. Just wanting to know you're reason for setting up a burley and going away for longer than five minutes I'd of assumed that once the fish or kina have turned up had a feed then the fish would move on can I know you're reasoning for this?

The big fish will wait till small fish go and eat first and see if they stay safe. The big fish will generally only move and stay there not so skittish after 5+ minutes. The big ones may come in earlier but they will be really skittish

The fish will often just park up after having a feed.
