I just watched a video the other day where another thru hiker camped at that cemetery. She got scared when a truck showed up that night. Turned out it was a bunch of army rangers doing some training.

Super good idea about slack packing some of the beginning. I've never thought about doing it that way. It seems like a solid plan to get a few more miles w/o feeling the overuse on ur knees/ankles.
