For better or worse, I got the urge to play Borderlands three. There are almost certainly a good number of ways that could have been less painful or more fun, but here we are. Overall, I am impressed by how good shields are, but that's not saying a lot.
As for other games in the franchise? Maybe at a later date. Far too much of my time has gone to Borderlands three recently. Vendor farming is a really dry experience, and triple rolled shields feel like a myth.

1. No unique gear where possible.
2. No Guardian Rank Bonuses.
3. No damage through non shields unless necessary.
4. No anointed gear.
5. Rule break = map reload + shame.
