Harbor Freight is very clever - you buy the cheap tool that breaks..........then you go back and buy the more expensive tool.

Harbor freight has another icon creeper with the all terrain big wheels which is a bit more money. Still debating which I should get. Im tired of using carboard box as a DIY mechanic

Had a couple of the Pittsburgh as well, they’re trash. I saw these but they’re almost as expensive a a Jeepers Creeper from Lisle, so I was hesitant. Have a Lisle now that was from my job. It’s good, but I’m debating getting another. May check these.

A new subscriber here, Sir. I am giving that ICON creeper a serious look. I posted a review about the version of that Pittsburgh Automotive creeper sold at NAPA on their website. It’s the exact same creeper, except with the Evercraft name.

I do not see many people reviewing Icon. Nor do I know anyone who uses the tools. So I have to question if they are indeed worth the rather sharp increase in price vs something like Gear wrench.

I've tried the HD creeper from HF and had the same problem. Started off good at first but found out real soon it would snap a wheel rolling over a piss ant. Couldn't find or trust one for my size at a reasonable price so I made one using 500# rated casters from HF and some 2x4's and 3/4" plywood. Also wrapped a piece of 2x4 with a rubber like foot cushion from HF so I could have a headrest. Turned out great, rolls well and isn't too tall either. I built it with the 2x4 frame on top of the bed or body b so I'm actually laying pretty close to the floor. It's plenty wide and a little heavy but it will crush rocks while rolling my fat ass around. It's also a good 4ft long which makes it hard to stay awake after laying under my square body with a floor fan on. I could have spent more and bought something Super Extra HD but after getting burned on fat man creepers I figured it would be easier to build one that would fit my size my own decided to go ahead and build one that I knew would last. Nice review and the creeper looks extra stout. Let us know hit hold up for you. Keep them square bodies rollin!

Thanks for this review. Im gonna skip the cheap one and get the Icon. I only work on my car when i need to but i still want something that will last.

I actually prefer a large sheet of cardboard maybe from a fender or something.

Agree Pittsburgh model is crap. My center wheels caved in just like yours. Hate it when stuff breaks down in the middle of a project!
