always cool to see the previous generation

Had the pleasure of meeting David Palmer and spending a weekend with him while he coached the Cornell squash teams at the Yale tournaments a few weeks back. Great guy.

One of the better games I’ve ever seen

Great game. One of the big issues I have with PSA TV videos in general is that the commentators talk all the time--through the points and often about unrelated issues. It's like having someone behind you speaking through an entire movie. This commentator is a perfect example of how it should be done, remaining silent during the points, and keeping his comments brief and game-focused.

Wow Willstrop was world n2 11 years ago!!, I didn´t know he has been on the top for so long!!, being such a tall guy is normal that he isn´t that fit now, but great carrer and hopefully more to come!!

No wonder David palmer was called the marine. I remember watching the 2006 World championship final in Cairo against Gregory gauliter and I think Greg had about 8 or 9 championship balls, even when Greg was 2 games up he had about 4 championship balls then 2-1 up he had more championship balls and every time dave just kept hanging in there and it went 2 games all and Greg looked ill after them 4 games and dave came out in the 5th and absolutely destroyed Greg and what won him that world open title was his desire to keep going. As for James willstrop he is still playing professional squash at 39 years old and a former world number 1 and what an ambassador for squash he has been. These guys and all professional squash players are awesome athletes and anybody who's played squash knows exactly what I'm on about.

I was surprised how civil Palmer was throughout. Even say at 13:45 when it's hard to believe Willstrop would ever have gotten that ball back. Maybe I've watched too much Palmer vs Power (and it's not Palmer I'd blame for the lack of civility there...)

I miss the old squash with the traditional rackets. I remember Rodney Martin, Chris Robertson, the Khans. That was epic squash.
