BBC should be roundly criticised for failing to show SQUEEZE...presumably no one working for the BBC on Glastonbury is under the age of 30.

Gutted too. I think they were hedging their bets they'd be some huge secret opener. Didn't they do the same to Sophie Eliis Bextor excuse was all the Cameramen were on Dinner 😮

Does anyone remember when rock festivals were were alternative, underground events and only rock fans attended and nobody that you worked with had heard of any of the groups you talked about. The corporate, the homogeneous and the bland has taken over.

BBC always mess Glastonbury up. Surely they can have channels streaming each stage live. Though I do know some artists refuse to have it on TV.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I watched a “car crash” TV interview on BBC Breakfast yesterday morning of a “senior aged interviewer” ie old enough to know better, interviewing Glen and Chris who couldn’t even get their names round the right way 🤷‍♀️ appalling! They took it with good grace. Last night my son and I scoured the TV paper and the red button channel and couldn’t understand why we couldn’t find Squeeze, as you all say absolute Legends. I am shaking my head. This is shameful. I resent paying my TV licence, this “Corporation” needs a good shake-up. We are told we are an ageing population…. So “entertain us”!!!

yeh i went to glastonbury about 8 times and always saw a great headliner on the main stage. david bowie, stevie wonder, the cure, bruce springsteen. they have shit main stage headliners this year. its just the way things are now there are no decent new bands out there. they should have got either ac dc or billy joel as a main stage headliner this year.

@@GeneralGrievousLovesHotChicken yeh they were good years, before the fence was put up it was a lot more varied in the crowd and a LOT more packed with people as about a quater of people there just jumped the fence.

When things weren't as superficial even back when I was very little in the 2000s life just felt more enjoyable now there are too many rules and measures in place everywhere and obviously for safety I understand but it's all too regimented in all aspects of life and I don't know something just doesn't feel right.
