So how did Japan beat the Boks? | A Squidge Rugby Deep Dive

Squidge Rugby

Squidge Rugby

3 жыл бұрын

It's the biggest upset the sport has ever seen. But before Karne Hesketh could slide in the corner to seal the win, so much had to be done. So how did Japan hold their own against, and then systematically dismantle the Springboks, on their way to creating one of the most iconic moments in rugby history?
If you've enjoyed any of the channel's content, you can also support Squidge Rugby on Patreon by visiting / squidgerugby , so I can continue to justify pouring five months and hundreds of hours into silly KZfaq videos about people chucking eggs about.

I just love how Squidge said that this match changed both teams for the better...it truly was an introduction to a new Japan, a Japan side that was seen more as a threat and also inspired other small teams like Uruguay to do the impossible. It was such an incredible game to watch, such a beautiful upset and it made me so excited for the future of Rugby.
