"It always overflows" The Oceanside Mayor and city officials are at fault. They need to prioritize the clean up of our flood channels (creeks) removing weeds, debris, trash, dirt, etc. The clean excess water was meant to flow into the ocean.

Cal Trans spent $$$$$ last spring fixing this. What did Cal Trans do wrong again? Taxpayers should not have to pay for crappy work. Of course Cal Trans will claim its an act of God. The natives will say this is payback for not leaving El Salto Falls alone.

I don't live in California but I do in Oklahoma and Ice Storms shut down Oklahoma Missouri & Arkansas this morning. Couldn't even walk on the streets without being on your bottom. This was a major major problem today with the California flooding.

This is what happens when a state neglects to take care of its highways and infrastructure. I drove these highways and streets for years. Never did I see an attempt to clear out the trash and debris that eventually plugs up the drainage systems. Now add in all the homeless encampment and California has successfully created its own massive toilet bowl. Leaving was the best decision ever. Kicking that can down the road doesn’t sound like such a great idea now.

Would the water co lower the price for water now?

I don't know if I agree with the reporter. I remember about 40 years ago. A good portion of the mission valley area (not too far from where the stadium was; a lot of the car dealerships were impacted) was underwater. If the 78 was open at that time I would imagine it was flooded too

This is a county that has had great weather for the last 20 years. I remember when the highways would flood regularly. Maybe if you haven't lived in SD for long enough you dont realize you live in a desert and they built homes and roads in dried out washes. How funny to watch these transplants freak out. 🤣
