Hello It's Dave from.New Zealand I'm very happy with the car and it's performance. The only issue is the Superfast Chargers In 1 yr and 7 months aprox Twice it was charged and wouldn't work afterwards. Thanks for the great review Dave Thanks

Thankyou for even mentioning us people with mobility issues and disabilities. We're very rarely considered in car reviews. I'd start my own car review channel especially for people with mobility issues but starting at zero the dealerships won't loan me free cars for some reason 🤷🏻♂️😉

Have one of these, love it. Nice review, thanks.

Looks like a decent, underrated car. Just needs more promotion and brand awareness. The tyre roar is probably down to the Nexen tyre; the Soul EV suffers from the same problem. Swapping to Michelins when the time comes gives a quieter ride. Thanks for the review.

I like the Ssangyong cars especially the Rexton and Korando but only in ice form. I'm not convinced that EVs are the way forward. Good review Dave nevertheless.

Hi Ross. Thank you so much for your comment. Eventually we are going to see all manufacturers going the way of full electrification. Now is the time to dip their toe in the water to see what works and what doesn't. Hybrids are still a strong option nowadays still and will provide a lot of owners with a frugal vehicle. Especially if EV's don't fulfil their needs currently.

@AutoBears I've been driving buses now for 22 years and theirs talk of electric ones coming our way; we'll see.👍🤣

@@rosswhittleton6277 I used to live in Milton Keynes and they had electric buses even then.

great detailed review, thanks. But I do wish someone would make a night drive video, or at least show the interior lighting in the dark. I've seen about everything there is to be found on KZfaq, but nowhere do I get a shot of how the cabin's mood lighting is. I can't even find pictures of it online (not the complete view anyway).

Not sure when you filmed this but since Nov 2023 the Top of the range Ultimate is priced at £30995

This was filmed in November just before that promotion came through. But as KGM are now going through their rebrand. The car will be back on sale soon.

Stick the MG badge on a Chinese car and its interesting , try and flog it with that brand name on and you suddenly get visions of a Russian knock fiat . Looks nice tastes nice , but would I trust it over my Honda … no is the answer , just not ready to plunge into that brand . But then is it any worse than a Kia .. as for Ev’s think hybrids are probably the way to go at the moment …

hybrids aren't EV's. They may drive on an an electric motor some of the time, but they need a combustion engine to keep going. It may be a good solution if you're driving very small distances and can charge the tiny battery at home, but else you'll be using your engine a lot and your consumption will hardly go down. I've heard from people who say their hybrid consumes more than the normal ICE car does (as it weighs more and the battery is empty most of the time, thus relying on an often underpowered engine that has to work hard to deliver). But I also heard of hybrids that do consume much less in the real world. It all depends how you use the car, for some it may be the perfect answer, for others merely a 'fashion statement'. I drive an EV, and for me personally it's the perfect solution. I mostly drive in the city (extending my range), I only charge at home (reducing the cost), I have a garage and solar panels, I don't pay any tax because it's 100% electric (I'd have to pay tax for a hybrid). Just saying, it all depends on people's needs what system is the best. What's right for you may be totally wrong for me.

Might work in the City , try that in rural Somerset . Just not enough charging points . Even if all that were true , here’s a point no one wants to mention . Lithium , is mined by people who are enslaved in Africa and South America . In fact there are more people today living in slavery than during the 18th Century , from phones to cars . It all contributes to human misery .

hey, it's easy to tell you're one of these persons who is determined to find reasons to hate EV's, I've heard them all believe me. And on itself the 'slavery' reason would be a great argument, it must be dealt with, not only in this issue. But the first hole in your humanitarian explanation: you wouldn't mind hybrids? They also carry much bigger batteries than a normal ICE, so aren't they made by 'slaves' too? And have you noticed that Arab nations have built (to this day) their entire nations with suppressed workers? Even if it's not in the oil production (which I'd presume it is, but I have no evidence), the wealth they have so they can build their paradise cities with slaves comes solely from that oil. Shouldn't that be eliminated too? So investigate before you judge on things you hardly know anything about. One other thing: due to this EV 'revolution', there's finally a need to search for better battery solutions (without use of hazardous materials, so 'slaves' won't have to mine them), which ARE coming, sodium being one of them. If nobody buys EV's now, where would the incentive be to invest billions in R&D? You're entitled to your opinion, but the reasons you give would only be valid if you'd sell your car, smartphone and most appliances and start riding your bike to work every day. If not, you just do what we do and don't even help in advancing technology to get a better future.@@petert9224
