The UF1 can also act as a dedicated 3rd party plugin controller as shown here in Logic Pro. You can map encoders to various plugins' parameters. This allows you to customize your all hands experience. Youc an do this with UF8 as well, see my video.

I have a question: how do I get my 360 software channel strip to link up with my UF 1? The transport function works find in 360 & in my DAW, but not the channel strip on 360

After you load at least one channel strip or Buss plugin, make sure to switch to the Plugin Mixer layer - typically this is layer 3.

Let’s use our mouse already. Doesn’t the one big encoder work if you hover with ur mouse?

yes, a bit slower to use, but that works too.One trick - I use the trackpad with my left hand to point to hover the mouse, and then the right hand to turn the knob.

when i open my aupreset file i dont see any control surface premeters under roots, all i see is data, manufacture,name,subtype,and version... do you know if im doing anything wrong?

first, you wont find it in "root" library, but your user library. Also AU preset doe not contain that data. That data is stored in CSparameter.plist - /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Audio/Presets for each plugin, after you save it as a preset.

Well not quite - because this will be for the UC1, not for UF1 and UF8 - but I am at NAMM2024 now, I will ask the SSL guys, they are here
