One of two major professional sports teams called the Browns that lasted for around 50 years, moved to Baltimore and renamed itself after a bird.

I have a St.Louis Browns cap like the bottom one in the middle.Had they moved to Los Angeles,I would have changed their name to Blue Sox.The AL would have had the Red Sox on the East Coast, White Sox in the Midwest and Blue Sox on the West Coast, all three colors of Old Glory. If some city such as San Jose, Sacramento or Salt Lake City ever get an AL franchise,I hope they consider that name.My parents and I drove by Mission Stadium when we went to HemisFair in 1968.

Franchise called City, St. Louis on Eastern edge, Mo. at Ill./Mo. state boundary line for 52 seasons (1902 thru 1953) before transplanting to City, Balto. in Md. for 1954 season/being re-branded as Orioles

That Browns to LA move is the biggest what if in MLB history. Had it occured, i think MLB expansion occurs far sooner

Good video. Should have mentioned their one great player, George Sisler.

We thought about covering some players, but we wanted to keep episodes in that series to a shorter length, so we decided against it. In a few weeks we will have another episode that covers a particular event in the Browns history. Be sure to check that out and thanks for watching!
