I had to pause it so many places - the old airport hut, old Yacht Haven with the Bridge, 99 steps before it had the railings, the dock at Lindberg that is long gone, etc.

This was great... I spent so many years on STT in the 1960s and 1970s, this brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Thanks for sharing such beautiful images, with such a perfect soundtrack!

Thanks, Loved it down there in those years. You may know some of the people back then on the facebook pages "I Used to Live in The U.S. Virgin Islands" and "St. Thomas Rock n Roll Woman and Friends". You must have known Terri Schirmer. My wife back then, Chetley, waited tables at the Carousel.

Thank you for this video ❤️ I lived there in the 70's, 1973 to 2007. Worked at Windward Passage and lived at the Towers. Took part in Carnival ( Party Lovers Carnival Troupe) OMG those were the days 🌴🥰

I lived in St Thomas from 1969-1971 and those pictures brought back so many memories as i am very familiar with some of those sites even though they might have changed over the years.

Awesome video! The island looked so beautiful and safe. Sad to see crime rise so rapidly in recent years

Thanks to Bob, for these photos. I'm sure that I may not be the only person who lost all their pictures in Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The pictures from the 70s cannot be replaced. Sharing the view of other people's 70s photos eases the pain of losing my own.

My family's home from 1965 to 1988. My Dad (Bob Cook) ran Captain Cook's Glass Bottom Boat Harbor Cruises from the waterfront from 1965 to 1983. Mom (Mary T.) often worked the ticket booth, and was both a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. All the Cook kids (Drew, Julie, Jay, and Matt) attended Sts. Peter & Paul Grade School and graduated from Sts. Peter & Paul High School. "All Hail Our Virgin Islands, Emralds of the Sea!"

Awesome! Just curious, how did you know about the USVI in the 70’s? So many changes and so much the same.
