I was initially not overly impressed, mostly due to the turret bug affecting the Q-turret arrangements. But oh boy, St. Vincent is glorious. I'l definitely have to revisit the others again as well. I'm currently trying to finish up the PA CLs, including the battle honours grinds, and then I was going to go for Schlieffen, but I'm sorely tempted now. There is something special about battlecruisers in randoms, you can often compensate for the lack of armour, and enjoy the firepower, against uncoordinated teams

@@FunandGameswithTerry There's nothing like using your low concealment to surprise the enemy team and absolutely blindside them. I did it with Hawke to a Vladivostok who had his guns facing the other way and had him down to 1/3rd of his health before he got his turrets around. (I came around the outer islands on Hourglass and he was facing center)

idk why that bug kinda made sense. I mean these things are meant for speed so their bulkheads must have been hypothetically way inferior than their newer generation hypothetical battleships

Incomparable is still a bit special, but this one isn't a bad free alternative, if you know how to compensate for the lack of armour. Especially in random games, where it's hard to co-ordinate, she's quite consistent

Incomparable is more extreme than St Vincent, for better or for worse. She can ambush the likes of Jinan and Worcester in open water due to her stupid concealment, however she is not as consistent as St Vincent because she relies on citadels to pad her admittedly below average damage output. When she hits though, there is nothing like accidentally getting 30-40k damage in one salvo on the enemy BB. Both are excellent ships, but St Vincent I feel is more versatile due to better range, higher base damage output, superheal and being able to play around islands.

The speed is fun, but if you get caught with your pants down, you get the Alaska treatment. But that's alright, lack of armour is something you can compensate for with smart play, lack of firepower, not so much

Thanks. Given that the line has been out for a bit, I'm not sure they'll hit her too hard, if at all. It's also not that the ship isn't balanced - the armour is poor, and she can be taken down quite easily with a few salvos of focus fire. Just make sure she's sunk, otherwise they'll print a new one, and boom, she's back after a minute at full HP.

I've featured Des Moines a fair bit on the channel, she's still one of my favourite assault cruiser. Both lines have best-in-class AA, but they play differently. The CAs (Des Moines) can be played more aggressively, and their AP with RR up can do a crazy amount of damage quickly. Having the guns forward-biased means you can play bow-in against BBs, and use positioning. Their main disadvantage is the short range, and the lack of utility against DDs. The CLs (Worcester) are the best support cruisers in the game. You can add AA defence to your BBs, screen them from enemy destroyers - the Sonar/Radar combo is absolutely lethal - and they can do a lot of damage (don't underestimate their AP at close range). Their main disadvantage are the floaty shells, can be hard hitting anything smaller than a battleship at long range. Both lines are great, the CLs shine more in supporting your team imo, the CAs can be more aggressive.

I would go Tovey tbh, he's relatively easy to get through the collection book thing, and APCS+ gives you extra firepower, compared to the slight amount of extra HP from the super heal+, which would be the only other choice. Also, Tovey is a good choice for the more AP-focused premium BBs, so you can shift him around if needed (just make sure to get the heal skill)

Yeah, now that the Q turret is actually usable. That said, it's a ship that's easy to counter, if you can get the team to focus - just look what happened to me when I came under fire by Vermont and Shiki, and that was at range. It's not a ship I'm personally hugely afraid of, but it's easy to do well in, even if you just hang back.

I'm actually working on the German battlecruisers, but I may do this line after. Certainly fun, and I've got Tovey in port.

Overall the Kurfürst is the strongest ship because her armor is massive. The Vermont however has the strongest salvo

@@Hallalo ah k, cause I'm currently grinding towards the yamato ( *sad Izumo noises*) , and I was on the grind before the gun calibre buff to 457s of some of these ships( eg. The GK) So I wanted to know how the yama fares against the other 457s in the game

From my perspective, they're all good ships. GK has the best armour, and part of her power is in her secondaries (she's got one less barrel than the other two on the mains, but you can do half your damage in a battle with secondaries alone). Does require a certain playstyle to shine, though, given that she rewards aggression. GK has the easiest time with DDs due to sonar skill & secondaries. Yamato has pretty good armour, actually (her belt is thicker than GK, I think, although she lacks the turtleback), and still holds up well imo. Best way to play is staying at range in the beginning, using the precise aim, and then to push into mid-range in the second half to really put on the damage. Vermont is ... different. She can dish out huge amounts of damage, but takes forever to reload, so you have to learn to "make them count" when playing her. Trying to snipe cruisers at 15km is only going to result in splashes, and DD-heavy games will often be writeoffs, but she can do impressive numbers. St. Vincent is probably the easiest to play out of the group imo. She's precise, has good range, and the speed to get in and out of trouble, and the guns hit hard. You don't need to be at the frontlines to do well, but can hang back if you're not sure. Decent AA, stay with friendlies, and watch your HP, since she melts under pressure. The last one you missed is Kremlin. Good armour, absolutely trollish dispersion, and crap secondaries. She's not one of my favourites, wants to be a mid-range brawler, but highly vulnerable to DDs (worse than pretty much everything else). The guns have the best minimum, but worst maximum dispersion in her class, so either she's laser accurate, or shotgun, varies every salvo. In a brawl, she can take down a GK with a bit of luck, so don't underestimate that thing close up. Hardest to do well in imo.

@@FunandGameswithTerry ah yes I forgot bout the Kremlin cause of all the tX battles I have played to far, I have not encountered a single Kremlin, Nd I have been in a lot of TX battles for some reason ( again , *sad Izumo noises*) I wanted your opinion on the Izumo, cause even though I saw the latest Izumo review, the more I use the ship the better it gets and I'm able to get consistent 70-80 k battles.a similar thing went on with the amagi when I was grinding that. It felt like the more I played the ship the more better the ship was becoming ( before the turret bug fix btw). And lo and behold I was getting about 60-70k damage games consistently in the amagi, not great but again it's an amagi. Is it just my experience with the ship that has improved or has the ships been improved too with minor updates.

It isnt weak against destroyers.its faster than the most dds. Load HE and use your sec Guns and the dd is gone

I'll be reviewing the new DD line next week. As for the Vincent, she's not quite as powerful against DDs as GK, but she's quick, and you have those single torps that can come as a surprise. Nowhere near as bad as e.g. Kremlin, but not a CC or Conqueror.

Gold is the premium currency in the game, so it's not easy to come by in larger amounts, unless you purchase it (which is kinda the idea of free-to-play). You will get some from the Blitz pass, even the free one, so going after missions and getting the pass resources will accumulate over time. If you're willing to spend money, there are occasional sales bundles, or gold vaults, you can pick up for a decent discount - just make sure to compare to the regular ones to see how much of a discount it really is (sometimes it's not worth it).
