Every gear head has a secret: they all want to drive like McQueen in Bullitt, or Vin Diesel in The Fast And The Furious. But when the heat gets turned up, even some really good drivers can’t keep up. That’s when you bring in the Stunt Double! This week Stacey sits down with legendary Hollywood stunt man Ian Quinn to talk crashing cars and keeping actors out of harms way. There’s also a new project in the garage: The Stunt Double, a build inspired by the 80’s tv show The Fall Guy, and sure to get all four wheels off the ground before Stacey’s done with it. Sparks are going to fly and you know we’re gonna have a good time on GearZ.

I have a few funnels. Once you've used them, they are forever filled with grit and fuzz down in places I can't clean. When I need a funnel, I usually grab a sheet of paper and roll it into a makeshift funnel. I throw it away afterward. It works great for me.

They did the movie diamonds are forever it was a success James Bond was played by Sean Connery and the next year they had Joey Chitwood and his crew at the Painesville race track showing how they drove the cars up on two wheels

Square body Chevys are junk. They came with sit carbureted motors most came with shit 3spd automatics with no overdrive they had shit dual fuel tank system that didn't work worth a shit even new the frames were flimsy the frames were well known for cracking the dashes crack the windshields crack on the 4x4s if you flexed them to much off road. The 88+ GM trucks are much better they handle way better and no more gay stupid solid front axle that has manual stupid hub's. Sold my 85 Silverado pile of junk I now drive a 98 Z71 Silverado it's ten times the truck my 85 Silverado was and I got fuel injection pushbutton 4x4 power seats Consol power mirrors 14 bolt factory locking rear differential list goes on I don't miss my 1985 carbureted pos Chevy Silverado. I dont mis that carburetor I don't mis the crappy ride and handling from that stupid solid front axle that ate up outer tie rods and was always in for wheel alignments I don't miss having to get out and manualy lock out the stupid hub's that in winter time like to freeze. I don't miss that dual bullshit gas tank crap I don't miss the frame flex that them frames are so week on them 73-87 chevs I don't know how they were legal. Yes can they be upgraded you bet but you have to have deep pockets. I found it was just easier to jump up to this 98 Z71 Silverado then it was to restore my 85. My 98 is my daily driver / restoration project once it's fully completed witch should be next few months it will be mainly parked and I'm jumping up to a 14+ 5.7 TRD double cab Tundra and keeping the 98 Z71 as a fresh nice weather only classic Chevy.

I heard they had to destroy every project vehicle and that they could not be sold due to insurance, liability purposes. I hoped that wasn't true. Always enjoyed Stacy and watching these shows on Saturday mornings.

Who are the all-time greatest of the best stunt drivers would have to be at the top it will have to be Joey Chitwood the one who did all the stunt car driving in the James Bond movies. And yes it's possible I got his name wrong.
