Hi Everyone, This week I thought I would try something new. A Stacked tumbling block. It is an intermediate pattern with great results. Take your time when doing this and line up the seams and everything will look great.
Credit out to kayewood for originally sharing this pattern on youtube!

Glad you showed making this with a standard quilting ruler instead of having to use a "special" template/ruler. Wish more tutorials were using standard rulers. Thanks so much. Love your tutorials and look forward to watching them. Have a great day.

First time watching you quilt I really enjoyed it and learning a lot esp if it doesn't work the first time rip it out and try it again. You have a way of relaxing the people you teach and make it easer and fun to learn. Thank You, I'm looking forward to watching and learning more from you. I'm trying to make homemade shopping bags and this would be a really nice effect

"Like a rock-n-roll cutting party!" What a great teaching personality you have! Others may have slicker studio set-ups, or professional scripts and clever editors, but I love the way you explain things like a friend would, in friendly language, little jokes (love the eyebrows "talking" at the sewing machine), the short and cute singing bits, and especially the little asides where you explained the places where you yourself had troubles, or made mistakes, so we will know the tricksy bits to look out for ourselves. I also liked that you show us how to use a regular ruler to cut the triangles, because even thought the special rhombus rulers might make things easier, some of us don't have a lot of extra money for the fancy rulers which might have only one or two uses. (Yes, we are smart peoples and can figure it out, but it helps to have a friend share when they know something we don't!) If you were closer to me (Wanna take a nice little trip to Canada? No, I didn't think so, lol!), I would love to take classes from you in person, which is sort of the highest compliment I, as a fellow craft teacher, can offer. (I teach knitting, spinning, and write about those and more.) Best of everything to you, and I'll take a look at your other videos when I have another little break. Thank you, keep stitching and laughing!

A neighbor invited me to a quilt guild; I was hooked. A woman there gave me a magazine -this pattern was what I chose. 2" blocks of blues, greens, Brown's and some orange. Full size; took me about 24 hours from start to finish..still haven't backed it, but, still love it!

Love your little set-up there, everything within reach( not to mention keeping that iron cord out of the way. Nothing more aggravating than that darn thing dragging across the board.) I used to be envious of those who had the mile-long tables to use, but saw how often they had to jump up and race to another section just to cut, piece, sew and iron one quilt., I decided using the spare bedroom wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Hi, Mom & Pop. Love watching you from my home in New Hampshire. I love this design and saw you were having problems with the joins where the points all come together. I you leave 1/4" flat at the top of your triangles when you cut them they should go together more smoothly. That's what Kaye meant when she called them "topless". The film is rather poor...it looks like an old VCR tape that was used too much! Hope this helps.
